Packers Place LB Andy Mulumba on Injured Reserve
The Packers have yet to make any corresponding move to round out their 53-man roster.
The Green Bay Packers have placed linebacker Andy Mulumba on season-ending injured reserve on Friday, according to the NFL's transaction wire.
There was no corresponding move to replace Mulumba on the 53-man roster.
Mulumba injured his knee in the team's win over the New York Jets on Sunday, reported as a torn ACL by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
In two games this season, Mulumba contributed just one tackle, limited exclusively to a role on special teams.
A year ago, Mulumba played in 14 games, including three starts at outside linebacker, making 30 tackles and a sack. He was originally signed as an undrafted free agent out of Eastern Michigan.
With so much depth at outside linebacker, the Packers likely won't suffer greatly from the loss of Mulumba.
A door may have been opened to rookie Jayrone Elliott, who has yet to be active for a regular-season game this season.
There are several candidates on the Packers practice squad and in free agency to take Mulumba's spot on the roster, although the Packers don't appear to be in a hurry to replace him.

You have to figure rolle gets the callup considering he is probably the most talented guy on the ps and hayward having his leg issues. It's the perfect storm of events for a rolle callup. I wonder though if banjo gets it solely for his st prowess. Thoughts?

Another injury prone undrafted Ted the genius found. go back and look at the injuries and you'll quickly discover the same guys, same problems, played Div 1a or third string, injured in college too but found a place on the Packer roster.
Zombo Central Mich, Mulumba Easter Mich, ya great finds that for some reason 31 other teams never discovered.

Got to be either Banjo or Rolle, if anyone. Another possibility would be Hubbard. Certainly don't need any skill position players at the moment.

If not Rolle, I'm hoping for a DL.
