Packers Give Nick Perry $7.5 Million Over Four Years
Green Bay's first-round pick also got $3.9 million in signing bonuses, according to Andrew Brandt.

The Packers have signed first round pick Nick Perry to a four-year, $7.5 million deal with a signing bonus approaching $4 million, according to Andrew Brandt of ESPN and the National Football Post.

Green Bay selected Perry with the No. 28 overall pick in the 2012 NFL draft. In comparison, Saints running back Mark Ingram—the 2011 draft's 28th overall pick—got four years and $7.417 million with a $3.894 million signing bonus from New Orleans last year.
The Packers are expecting Perry to assume the role of linebacker opposite Clay Matthews in Dom Capers' 3-4 scheme. A defensive end at USC, Perry will need to make the adjustment to rushing the passer standing up and dropping into coverage.
News of Perry's deal broke last Friday afternoon before the Packers began their three-day rookie minicamp, which Perry participated in.
