Packers' Estimated Rookie Pool Money at $4.84M

Now that compensatory draft choices have been handed out, the Green Bay Packers' estimated rookie pool money for 2013 is $4,844,914, according to OvertheCap.com. That figure does not include signing bonuses, which are expected to total $6,419,656.

By virtue of picking near the end of every round and only being awarded only one compensatory draft pick in 2013, the Packers rank in the bottom third of the NFL in rookie pool money, 10th lowest overall.

These figures presume that no trades will be made and could fluctuate depending up on if the Packers either move up or down in the draft or add or give away draft choices. They also do not include money that will be spent on undrafted rookies.

Assuming the Packers stay put and use their 26th overall sections, their first round draft choice is estimated to have a $3,992,080 signing bonus and $1,403,020 base salary in 2013.

So the rookie cap can change with the draft? I didn't know.

Do I remember correctly that GB carried over 7M from last years cap? That would make 123M plus 7, minus 5M for rookies as having 125M for AR, CM, BJ and Shields?

Come on Ted, sign them all on one day! Most expensive day in the history of pro sports!

Including that money they are approx 18M below the cap. Another 12M for Rodgers, another 6M for Matthews and its pretty much gone. Thompson's gonna have some tough decisions come cutdown date as usual.
