Packers Dominate Pro Bowl Voting

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers is the leading vote-getter among all NFL players for February's Pro Bowl.

Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is the leading all NFL players in fan balloting for the Pro Bowl with 589,801 votes.

Rodgers and other Packers are popular choices by fans, according to the first round of results released by the NFL today.

Packers were the lead vote getters in over 50%, 1o of the 19, positions in which teams are allowed to vote.

The results of fan voting doesn't necessarily guarantee that they'll be voted into the Pro Bowl, however. The all-star squads are determined one-third each in a combination of voting by fans, players and coaches.

Last year, for example, Josh Sitton led all fan voting among NFC guards and was not selected to the Pro Bowl.

Players voted into the Pro Bowl for teams playing in the Super Bowl will still be acknowledged as Pro Bowlers, though they won't play in the game.

Voting continues at NFL.com/probowl through Dec. 19.

Ever sense they moved the Pro Bowl to the week before the Super Bowl the product on the field went down!!! Not letting the best teams play in the pro bowl is stupid!!! But I think the whole pro bowl game is dumb anyways. Its time to get rid of the game and have a skills competition! I would watch that over the lame game the Pro bowl has become!!

Whatever happened to those old skill challenges at the pro bowl? They show old ones once in a while late at night... I miss em!
