Packers Current Salary Cap Situation

A look at the Packers' current cap situation, courtesy of Pro Football Talk.

According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, the Green Bay Packers are $3.4 million under the 2012 salary cap. The numbers are current through March 30. It's unknown whether or not the contract of Anthony Hargrove, whose signing was officially announced by the team tonight, factors into that number or not.

Only six teams are closer to the cap than the Packers, with the New York Giants and Oakland Raiders also $3.4 million under. The Cincinnati Bengals top the list with $20.5 million of cap room.

Man. It would suck to be a fan of a club at the mercy of an owner's whims. Like Paul Brown. Or Stephen Ross. Or Jerry Jones. Owners come in all shapes and sizes, but they almost all share one thing - they are BAD for the productivity of their franchise.

This is why there are no more kings in 1st world countries people.
