Packers Coaching in High School: Week 2 Preview

In one of the evening's featured games, former Packers linebacker Bryce Paup will lead Green Bay Southwest in a road game at Manitowoc Lincoln, a battle of 1-0 teams.

There are several former Green Bay Packers currently coaching in the high school ranks, where Wisconsin schools enter their second week of play this evening. Here's a quick preview...

  • Following their 27-0 shutout over in-city rival Green Bay East last week, former Packers linebacker Bryce Paup leads Green Bay Southwest to a road date with 1-0 Manitowoc Lincoln. Paup is Southwest's head coach.
  • After losing to Wrighstown in their season opener, former Packers quarterback Randy Wright hopes to reverse Sturgeon Bay's fortunes this evening as they visit Valders for their second consecutive road game to begin the season. Wright is Sturgeon Bay's offensive coordinator.
  • Former Packers fullback Dexter McNabb will try to keep Pulaski undefeated after a win over Sheboygan South last weekend. This week they travel to Sheboygan North. McNabb is the school's athletics director and fullbacks coach.
  • Waukesha West attempts to go 2-0 tonight as they face Wisconsin Lutheran on the road. They kicked off the season with a win over Milwaukee Bradley Tech a week ago with former Packers tight end as an assistant coach.
