Former Packers wide receivers coach James Franklin has Vanderbilt off to a surprising undefeated 2-0 start to the season as they host SEC foe Ole Miss.

Several former Green Bay Packers players and coaches are now coaching in the college ranks. Here's a brief preview as Week 3 of the college season gets underway...

  • The typically moribund Vanderbilt program has gotten off to a fast start 2-0 start including a win over Connecticut last weekend under new head coach James Franklin, formerly the Packers wide receivers coach. Today they start conference play by hosting Ole Miss, another beatable team. Game starts at 11:21 p.m. Central time on the SEC Network, ESPN Gameplan and ESPN3.
  • A pair of former Packers, defensive line coach Jethro Franklin and linebacker Mark D'Onofrio, who are the defensive line coach and defensive coordinator respectively at Miami, are part of an intriguing game this evening against Ohio State in a matchup of two teams that are each dealing with a slew of suspensions. The game airs on ESPN at 6:30 p.m. Central time.
  • Former Packers tight end coach Bo Pelini is head coach at Nebraska who will host Washington this afternoon. These teams met twice last season, once in the regular season in which the Cornhuskers annhilated the Huskies and once again in the Holiday Bowl where Washington got their revenge. The rubber match happens at 2:30 p.m. and will air on either ABC or ESPN depending on where you live.
