Packers Calendar: Will James Jones, Brad Jones and Mike Neal Practice?

None of the aforementioned players have practiced yet this week, but none of them have been ruled out of Sunday's Browns game either.

The Green Bay Packers are holding out hope that a trio of injured players will be able to practice on Friday and give the team some much-needed depth on Sunday against the Cleveland Browns.

Out of a group including wide receiver James Jones (knee) and linebackers Brad Jones (hamstring) and Mike Neal (shoulder), none of them has yet to take part in practice this week but none of them have been ruled out for this weekend's game either.

James Jones will test his injured knee before practice to see if he'll be able to go.

"Hopefully on Friday will be the day that we'll find out about James," head coach Mike McCarthy said earlier in the week. "He's very positive about where he is, how he feels. He's gearing up for a possible test in his rehab schedule."

Brad Jones was held out last week's game against the Baltimore Ravens and remains a question mark for this week.

And as for Mike Neal, the Packers knew early in the week that he wouldn't practice Wednesday or Thursday but were hoping to see him Friday.

McCarthy acknowledged that he'd give Neal until Sunday to prove he can play even if he doesn't practice on Friday.

The team's official injury report and game-day status projections will be released in the afternoon, shortly before the start of McCarthy's press conference.

Following practice, McCarthy will have his press conference streamed live on the team's official website at Packers.com, expected to take place at 12:30 p.m. CT.

Early Friday morning, head coach Mike McCarthy will make his rounds on statewide local radio as follows:

  • WTMJ AM 620 Milwaukee at 6:25 a.m.
  • WSAU AM/FM 550/99.9 Wausau/Stevens Point at 6:35 a.m.
  • WIBA AM 1310 Madison at 6:45 a.m.
