Packers Calendar: Throwback Weekend Party at Green Bay Distillery

Join Cheesehead TV and Packers fans from around the globe for a Saturday full of fun.

Fans of the Packers will converge on Green Bay on Saturday for the start of the annual Cheesehead TV-sponsored event, Throwback Weekend.

At noon, a tour of Lambeau Field gets things started. Partcipants must sign-up ahead of time if they want to join the Throwback Weekend group. Details are at ThrowbackWeekend.com.

The inaugural Throwback Weekend warm-up gets underway from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. with a free tour and beer tasting for all attendees at Stillmank Brewing.

Then at 6:00 p.m. the annual tweet-up and pre-party starts up at the Green Bay Distillery for an evening of socializing and revelry with entertainment provided by Cheeseheads with Attitude (C.W.A.) at 10:00 p.m.

If you already registered online, great. If not, you can register at the door. Details, again, at ThrowbackWeekend.com. All that register get four drink tickets, a t-shirt and a can koozie on Saturday, plus more if you stick around for Sunday.

There's plenty else going on in Green Bay on Saturday as well.

During the morning hours, Lambeau Field will be the site of the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer three-mile walk to benefit the American Cancer Society.

The event gets underway at 9:00 a.m. Registration and donations can be made online.

At 11:00, former Packers running back Paul Hornung will be doing a book signing at the Shopko inside Bay Park Square mall in Green Bay, according to publisher Triumph Books.

Also starting at 11:00 a.m. and lasting until 1:00 p.m., former Packers tight end Mark Chmura will make an appearance, signing autographs at the Packers Pro Shop inside the stadium, according to the Packers official website.

Taking over from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. will be Lombardi-era guards Jerry Kramer and Fuzzy Thurston, also signing autographs at the Packers Pro Shop.

Finally, from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m., cornerback Davon House will do a paid autograph signing at the D2 Sports Pub in Green Bay on behalf of Legends of the Field.
