Packers Calendar: Senior Bowl Practice on Television

Live coverage of practice from Mobile, Ala. takes place on the NFL Network starting at 2:00 p.m. CT.

Fans have the opportunity to see what Packers general manager Ted Thompson and the rest of the team's scouts see Tuesday on television as the NFL Network televises practice from the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala.

Representatives of the Packers are in attendance at the nation's premiere college football all-star game to get an up-close look at over 100 prospects as they go through drills and scrimmage under the tutelage of NFL coaches.

First the NFL Network provides tape-delayed coverage of practice from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. CT and then goes live from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. CT as the South team takes the field.

Practice was on television on Monday as well, but with both teams installing their respective schemes, the first day of practice can be relatively dull. The good news for viewers is that starting on Tuesday, there's less learning and more action going on, the players are in pads and more can be learned about each of them.

Cheesehead TV's own Andrew Garda is in Mobile checking out the proceedings. Make sure to check out his impressions in his most recent blog post.

Good coverage of the Senior Bowl can also be found at sites like NFLDraftScout.com, WalterFootball.com, NFLDraftCountdown.com and DraftInsider.net.

The Pro Bowl Draft begins in earnest in a tape-delayed special at 7:00 p.m. CT on the NFL Network Tuesday evening, but running backs will not be selected until Wednesday when Eddie Lacy's name will be called.
