Packers Calendar: Rededication of Harlan Plaza

A ceremony honoring former team president Bob Harlan will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

The Green Bay Packers will be holding a rededication ceremony for Halan Plaza on Wednesday, named after former team president Bob Harlan, as announced by current president Mark Murphy in his monthly column atPackers.com.

The ceremony will take place at 1:00 p.m. CT, according to WBAY.com, and Harlan—who remains a chairman emeritus—will be present.

As part of the renovations taking part at Lambeau Field, the reconfigured plaza is larger and now sits at street level along Lombardi Ave. outside the Miller Gate entrance to the stadium.

Harlan Plaza is home to the popular statues of Vince Lombardi and Curly Lambeau, and added this year is a replica of the "Lambeau Leap," in which fans can jump into the arms of fan figures, suitable for a photo-op.

"The Plaza is much larger and more prominent, and still serves as a great tribute to Bob Harlan and the tremendous Packers history and tradition," writes Murphy in his column.

Also on Wednesday, the official youth camps of the Green Bay Packers continue in Kenosha and Oshkosh. They are in the third day of a weeklong event.

Taking place at the Kenosha YMCA and the Oshkosh Community YMCA from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the camps are for children ages 6 to 14.
