Packers Calendar: Pro Bowl Draft

Four Packers players will hear their name called on Wednesday evening, televised on the NFL Network.

Four Green Bay Packers players will hear their name announced tonight, finding out which they'll be playing on in the Pro Bowl.

Wide receivers Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb, linebacker Clay Matthews and cornerback Sam Shields will be selected in the second annual Pro Bowl Draft Wednesday evening, televised on NFL Network at 7:00 p.m. CT on NFL Network.

They'll either play for Team Carter, led by NFL alumni captain Cris Carter or Team Irvin, captained by Michael Irvin.

Packers fullback John Kuhn and guard Josh Sitton were already among the pre-draft selections made by Team Carter on Tuesday.

Earlier in the day, Pro Bowl players will be taking part in the NFL PLAY 60 Community Blitz or supporting the military in a series of five events taking place in the greater Phoenix area from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. local time.

The NFL did not publish where specific players will be, but they'll attend one of the following:

  • NFL PLAY 60 Youth Fitness Challenge and Cheerleader Clinic at Luke Elementary in Glendale, Ariz.
  • Airman for a Day at Luke Air Force Base in Glendale, Ariz.
  • Fitness Trail Community Build at Arizona National Guard Armory in Phoenix
  • NFL PLAY 60 Youth Fitness Challenge at Arizona National Guard Armory in Phoenix
  • NFL PLAY 60 Punt, Pass & Kick Competition  – Unified Special Olympics Edition at Trevor Browne High School in Phoenix

Back in Green Bay, head coach Mike McCarthy wraps up the 2014 season.

First he'll hold his season-ending press conference, streamed online at Packers.com at 11:00 a.m. CT.

Then at 6:30 p.m. CT, the season finale of the Mike McCarthy Show will air in Wisconsin, according to host Lance Allan via Twitter:

Finally, the NFL Network will air Senior Bowl practice sessions from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. CT live from Mobile, Ala. where Packers front office executives and scouts are watching NFL Draft prospects.
