Packers Calendar: Practice Continues, But Will Bishop Be There?

The Packers will practice on Wednesday as part of the Organized Team Actitives, but the session will be held behind closed doors.

As you've probably heard or read, linebacker Desmond Bishop is not expected to be with the Packers during the 2013 season. Nothing is official, however, and nothing has happened as of yet.

The Packers continue Organized Team Activities (OTAs) with a practice on Wednesday, but the question of the day will be, will Bishop be in attendance?

Tuesday's practice was the final session of the offseason program open to the public and the media, so while there will be a practice held on Wednesday, it will be behind closed doors. In other words, inside information may be tricky to come by.

Bishop was reportedly in attendance at yesterday's practice on the sidelines, watching and looking on, but whether he will continue to do so after news has broken that the team will part ways with him is up for speculation.

After tearing his hamstring last season and landing on injured reserve, Bishop has not taken part in any of the team's practices, either in OTAs or minicamp during the offseason, but he has been around the team and has continued to rehab.

According to reports, the Packers will first attempt to trade Bishop or re-structure his contract. If unsuccessful, they will release him. Until any of those things happen, he is still technically on their roster. He's free to use team facilities and could even practice if he were cleared and Bishop felt he was healthy, as unlikely as that might be at this date and time.
