Packers Calendar: Neal Expected to Practice Today

Defensive lineman Mike Neal would be practicing for the first time since training camp.

Because the Packers play their next game on Monday night, they have their first practice of the week on Thursday instead of the typical Wednesday.

Defensive lineman Mike Neal is expected to practice today for the first time since injuring his knee during training camp in August, which should be a topic of media scrutiny.

The Packers official website usually broadcasts head coach Mike McCarthy's press conference on the first day of the practice week, time yet to be determined.

In the local media, 1 on 1 With the Boys hosted by wide receiver James Jones airs on 101.1 WIXX in Green Bay from 5 to 6 p.m. Central time, which is streamed live.

I've had high hopes for Harrell errr Neal, but he has to get on the field.

Best case senario is that he can contribute meaningful snaps in 3-4 weeks and help with the playoff push....its more likley that he will get reinjured or remain ineffective due to the current injury. With the way the season is going, I'd prefer to stay optomistic and look forward to getting him back on the field!

Even though this is Game 9 for the Packers, it is now Week 10, as the NFL counts the bye week.
