Packers Calendar: Mike McCarthy Press Conference

The head coach of the Packers will meet the media at 11:30 a.m. CT, to be streamed live online.

Two days away from the Packers' next game against the Oakland Raiders, there will be no practice on Wednesday, but that doesn't mean players are left to their own devices.

As part of head coach Mike McCarthy's new practice schedule implemented this season, the team will do a jog-through in their Conditioning, Rehabiliitation and Instructional Center, also known as The CRIC.

Players will also have meetings and save a more strenuous practice for Thursday, the day before the game.

Despite having no practice, McCarthy will still meet with the media on Wednesday. His press conference will be streamed live at 11:30 a.m. CT on Packers.com.

For the first two preseason games, McCarthy was able to announce which players would be ruled out action in his final press conference of the week, so word on defensive lineman Letroy Guion, running back Michael Hill and linebacker Joe Thomas will be anticipated.

Right here at Cheesehead TV, our guest on the Railbird Central morning talk show at 8:30 a.m. CT will be Nathan Jahnke of ProFootballFocus.com, joining us for his weekly Wednesday engagement.

There will be plenty of talk about Colt Lyerla hitting waivers and the tight end position, so make sure to check it out.

Finally, the season premiere of Packer Transplants airs tonight. Stay tuned for more details.

I'd be surprised if Guion practices or plays a snap. Seems best to put him on PUP.
