Packers Calendar: McCarthy Season-Ending Press Conference

The Packers head coach will meet with the media at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

When the brother of Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy passed away, his season-ending press conference originally scheduled for Jan. 21 was postponed.

After attending to family matters, the press conference has been re-scheduled for Wednesday, according to Dan Koob of NBC 26 in Green Bay and many others that cover the Packers:

McCarthy has not spoken in a public forum since the immediate aftermath of the NFC Championship game loss to the Seattle Seahawks.

After some time for decompression, reporters will be looking for answers to questions such as why Clay Matthews was on the sidelines for two drives at the end of regulation as well as looking ahead to the future and where the Packers go from here. Several Packers players are free agents, but McCarthy likely won't have a ton of information on a speculative matter.

Meanwhile, out in Arizona, preparation for the Super Bowl continues.

The New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks will hold press conferences and meet with the media before practicing.

Then in the evening, former Packer Jerry Kramer will be taking part in A Game of Honor, pitting Wounded Warrior Amputees against NFL alumni.

The game will take place at Shadow Mountain High School in Phoenix from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Hosted by NFL alumnus and Wisconsin native Rocky Bleier, others taking part include former players like Darren Woodson, Danny White and Dale Hellestrae, along with ESPN's Kenny Mayne, Snoop Dog and more.
