Former Green Bay Packers safety LeRoy Butler is taking his message beyond the bookstore, speaking at Wright State University's Presidential Lecture Series in Ohio on Tuesday.
The Packers Hall of Fame safety is taking part in the series, "American Crossroads: Exploring the 21st Century Cultural Landscape" at 7:00 p.m. local time inside the Apollo Room at the student union.
According to the university's website, Butler will give a speech titled, "Be a leader, Not a Follower," focused on being an advocate for disadvantaged youth and sharing his personal story of how he went from being confined to a wheelchair to achieving at the NFL's highest level.
After the lecture, Butler will sign copies of his book, "Packers Pride: Green Bay Greats Share their Favorite Memories."
Butler is the subject of a grand jury investigation into his charity work.
