Packers Calendar: Jordy Nelson in Hawaii for NFLPA Annual Meeting

Packers players Micah Hyde and Tim Masthay will reportedly join Nelson at the NFLPA event on Friday.

As the Green Bay Packers team representative of the NFL Players Association, wide receiver Jordy Nelson will be in attendance at the union's annual meeting in Hawaii starting on Friday, according to Jim Trotter of ESPN.com.

Defensive back Micah Hyde and punter Tim Masthay will also be flown out to Hawaii as the team's alternates, per Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com, who offered a few more details.

Among the biggest orders of business for the event is electing a new executive director, although that won't take place until Sunday Mar. 15.

Incumbent NFLPA chief DeMaurice Smith has eight challengers to his job.

Those eight candidates include former NFL players Robert Griffith, Sean Gilbert, Jason Belser and John Stufflebeam in addition to attorneys Jim Acho, Arthur McAfee and Andrew Smith and player represetative Rob London.

Nelson will ultimately have the responsibiity for taking part in the balloting that decides the new executive director.

Meawhile, stops on the pro-day circuit include stops at Ohio State, West Virginia, Oregon State, Georgia Tech, Hobart and Georgia State on Friday.

The Packers don't publicize which particular pro day workouts they attend, but they're frequently represented at a majority.
