Packers Calendar: Hall of Fame Golf Classic

With many former players taking part, the annual event occurs at The Bull in Sheboygan Falls, Wis. on Monday

As Major League Baseball pauses for its All-Star break, that means training camp is right around the corner. Enjoy the Home Run Derby this evening.

And happy Bastille Day or French National Day.

The annual Packers Hall of Fame Golf Classic will be held on Monday with many former players taking part.

Benefitting the Packers Hall of Fame, a non-profit corporation independent of the Packers organization, the event will be held at The Bull in Sheboygan Falls, Wis.

The Packers Hall of Fame Golf Classic is held in the run-up to the annual induction ceremony, which will take place Saturday July 19.

With registration starting at 8:00 a.m. and celebrity introductions to follow, action gets underway at 10:00 a.m. with a shotgun start.

"The format is a scramble play with five players on each team," according to the Packers official website. "A celebrity player is assigned to your foursome, making it a fivesome. There is absolutely no better opportunity to spend quality time with a Green Bay Packers Hall of Famer, Packers celebrity or Packers staff member than the Packers Hall of Fame Golf Classic."

When the golf is over, a dinner and awards presentation takes place at 5:00 p.m.

Participants were asked to register ahead of time.

Also on Monday, the Packers Pro Shop closes its doors for three consecutive days ahead of its grand re-opening on Thursday.

Workers will be helping the Pro Shop transition to its new space as part of the renovations taking place inside the Lambeau Field atrium.

The Pro Shop will re-open on July 17.

Finally, the official youth camps of the Green Bay Packers take place with sessions starting in Green Bay and Glendale, Wis. on Monday.

Held at Green Bay East High School and Nicolet High School respectively, children ages 6 to 14 will be learning football skills from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Monday is the first of a weeklong, five-day camp. Participants are asked to register online. More information can be found at ProSportsExperience.com/Packers.
