Packers Calendar: 2012 Shareholders Meeting

Today is the day many new shareholders of the Green Bay Packers have been waiting for.

After the 2011 season ended, the Packers added more than a quarter million new shareholders through a stock sale that raised more than $60 million. Including prior stock sales, the total number of shareholders now exceeds 350,000 people.

The team announced that more than 25,000 have requested tickets to today's annual meeting that will be held in the Lambeau Field stadium bowl beginning at 9:30 a.m. Central time, rain or shine.

As part of the day's proceedings, shareholders will vote on 18 members to the team's board of directors in addition to receiving a financial report, a football report and various other reports from committees.

The Packers will be providing an exclusive webcast via secure login for shareholders not able to attend the meeting in person.

According to the Shareholders page at the Packers official website, "Username and password details were provided to shareholders during the voting process and also on the 'Important Information' document that was mailed with the shareholder proxy."

Click here to access the shareholders meeting webcast (user name and password required). Broadcast begins at 9:30 a.m.
