Wow, I didn't know we had any "stalwarts" on special teams!....First King, then Lancaster, now Redmond--I guess our new coordinators will be expected to turn water into wine. You can probably now forget about drafting Jevon Holland or a similar player who has long-term promise.

I am not a Redmen fan, I remember that dropped Int as much as any other play in that NFCCG. I sure hope there is little to no guaranteed money and its just a chance to make the roster but can be cut with little cap impact.
Plus, to be fair, we all decry the special teams in GB so if there is a guy the coaches deem a ST stalwart than maybe its a positive that the Packers are showing some commitment in keeping the ones they did have.
Decision GMs are forced to make every year - Lean toward keeping depth pcs being
ST stalwarts
stronger positional players
developmental potential

The Packers are no better now than they were 15 minutes ago.

You have GOT to be kidding me... does the front office actually watch the games?! This is a joke. What a mockery.

According to Gosselins rankings of 2020 special teams, GB finished 29th.
It must have been Redmonds play that kept them from 32nd.

Agreed, hence the stalwart status designation. Packers ST stalwart = world's tallest dwarf.

How many games did we lose because of special teams play?

Thank goodness we made sure to re sign the 2 defensive backs that directly contributed to us not making the Super Bowl. The sickest part about these comical re signings is we still have no idea what the hell they are planning on doing with the god damned MVP of the NFL.

First Lancaster, the Redmond. The only thing I can think of is we are in salary cap hell. Other than that I got nothing.

Lancaster was $140,000 and Redmond is less than $1 million. Both are probably depth signings and may not make it to week #1. Have to wait and see what Packers do in the draft. You have to think they pick up 2 or 3 CB/S and maybe another couple of roster cuts from other teams before the first game. Also have a few players from last year practice squad and IR to compete.
