The battle for the starting position at right outside linebacker between Frank Zombo, Brad Jones and Erik Walden is broken down by Michael Rodney of Packer Update. "Since their strengths and weaknesses are so different, it wouldn’t be a shock to see Capers use all three during the course of a game," writes Rodney. "And if not all three, then at least two of them. So while the Packers may not have one really good ROLB, they might be able to manufacture such a player by using the best parts of all three."

The Packers' match-ups with the Panthers and the Falcons are two with a little added significance, says Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com. "Like every team playing the Packers this season, the Panthers will bring their proverbial A-game," writes Florio. "And even though there’s a chance that this season could end up as another D-minus in Charlotte, they play the Packers at a time when it’ll be way too early for a bad record to kill interest in the game." The additions of Julio Jones, Jacquizz Rodgers and Ray Edwards has made the Falcons game more meaningful, according to Florio.

The Packers' plans to visit the White House and the president have gotten attention from Packers blogs. "Our only hope is that Obama is wearing the Woodson #21 jersey presented to him by Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker after the Packers victory in the Super Bowl," according to Lombardi Ave. "The presentation was made to the president when he paid a visit to Wisconsin in February."

A training camp report appears at Total Packers noting an off-rhythm offense on Wednesday. "Though it isn’t all that uncommon this time of year, the quarterbacks and receivers are still struggling to get on the same page," writes Brady. "There were many balls overthrown, a decent amount of drops by wide receivers, and some protection problems. All hope is not lost though. In a drill of No. 1?s versus No. 1?s, there was 1:11 on the clock and the offense was down by four. The first two passes were bombs down the sideline to Jordy Nelson, who battled for and caught both balls. Shortly after, Rodgers completed a pass to Driver on an out and he was able to extend for a touchdown with time still left on the clock."

The value of running back John Kuhn is mentioned in a post at Packer Gab. "A player that can play multiple positions and give the offense a number of different looks, but maintaining a base player set," Ryan Richmond writes of Kuhn. "Flexibility of players like Kuhn allow the offense to run the hurry up offense more effectively by not having to switch out players to run different sets. In Kuhn, the offense gets a running back, a full back, and a tight end in one package."

The ability to repeat as Super Bowl champs is given some consideration by Andy Hayes of packergeeks. "Despite some of these lingering questions and despite my conscious effort to think of reasons to doubt the conviction I have in this team – it’s really hard to not like this Packer team," writes Hayes. "I like the guys we have coming back and the new guys in the fold. I actually don’t think it’s a stretch to say that the team this year has better personnel than the one last year (despite losing some guys). I do think the Jenkins loss will hurt some maybe initially, but that’s it."

The worthiness of linebacker Dave Robinson as an NFL Hall of Famer is a discussion taken up by Mike Vandermause of the Green Bay Press-Gazette. "Packers historians say the team would have never won an unprecedented three consecutive championships in 1965, 1966 and 1967 without the help of Robinson, and there was one especially significant play in each of those seasons that kept the team’s title hopes alive," writes Vandermause.
