Packers Alumni Team to Take on Wounded Warrior Amputee Team

Led by Jerry Kramer, the Packers alumni team will play in a flag football game on Aug. 10 at St. Norbert College's Schneider Stadium.

A team comprised of Green Bay Packers and other NFL alumni, led by Packers Hall of Fame offensive lineman Jerry Kramer, will be taking on the Wounded Warrior Amputee Team in a flag football game from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on August 10 at St. Norbert College's Schneider Stadium in DePere.

While the game is taking place in the midst of Packers training camp, it comes on a day the teams has off from practice, a day following their preseason opener on Aug. 9 against the Arizona Cardinals in Green Bay.

The Wounded Warrior Amputee Football Team is composed of more than a dozen men and women from across the United States who lost a limb in Iraq or Afghanistan in their service to this country.

The cost to attend the game is $10, which includes a free photo opportunity and autograph session prior to the start of the game, as well as a raffle which will include several valuable NFL items. A complete list of the Packers and NFL roster has not yet been unveiled.

All proceeds benefit the Wounded Warrior Amputee Football Team, a disability advocacy and awareness non-profit (501-C3) organization.

The fact that Jerry Kramer is not in the Pro Football Hall of Fame is very disturbing.
