Packers' 46-Man Roster Prediction vs. Titans

Here's our best guess at predicting the Green Bay Packers' gameday roster for the Sunday's game against the Tennessee Titans at Lambeau Field. Reminder, only 46 players can be active...

The entire roster is included. Those bold and italicized are predicted to be inactive...

Quarterbacks: Aaron Rodgers, Graham Harrell

Running backs: John Kuhn, James Starks, Alex Green, Ryan GrantDuJuan Harris

Wide receivers: Greg Jennings, Jordy NelsonDonald Driver, Randall Cobb, James Jones, Jarrett Boykin, Jeremy Ross

Tight ends: Jermichael Finley, Tom Crabtree, D.J. Williams, Ryan Taylor

Offensive line: Marshall Newhouse, T.J. Lang, Jeff Saturday, Josh Sitton, Evan Dietrich-Smith, Don Barclay, Greg Van Roten

Defensive line: B.J. Raji, Ryan Pickett, C.J. Wilson, Jerel Worthy, Mike Daniels, Mike NealJordan Miller

Outside linebackers: Clay Matthews, Erik Walden, Dezman Moses, Frank Zombo

Inside linebackers: A.J. Hawk, Brad Jones, Rob Francois, Jamari Lattimore, Terrell Manning

Cornerbacks: Tramon Williams, Sam Shields, Jarrett Bush, Davon House, Casey Hayward

Safeties: Charles Woodson, Morgan Burnett, Jerron McMillian, M.D. Jennings

Specialists: Mason Crosby, Tim Masthay, Brett Goode

Commentary:

  • Five players have already been ruled out of Sunday's game and won't play: Jordy Nelson (hamstring), Charles Woodson (collarbone), C.J. Wilson (knee), James Starks (knee) and Tom Crabtree (hamstring).
  • Three players are questionable: Alex Green (concussion), Jerel Worthy (hamstring) and Greg Van Roten (back/illness). All are predicted to play. McCarthy said on Friday that he was optimistic Green would be ready to play. Worthy was at least a limited participant at practice on Friday after missing Wednesday's and Thursday's sessions. Van Roten will only be expected to play a backup role.
  • Terrell Manning is no longer listed on the team's injury report, but the Packers have sufficient depth at linebacker, and he isn't expected to play.
  • Donald Driver was a healthy scratch last week. The guess here is that he continues to be in favor of younger wide receivers, Jarrett Boykin and Jeremy Ross who also play special teams.
  • Jordan Miller is still looking to make his NFL debut. He was active for last week's game against Chicago but didn't play.
  • Even though Jeff Saturday isn't starting any more, he'll still be active and be the Packers' backup center.

Probably Driver's last game as a Packer at Lambeau, he should be active tomorrow.

I know the Packers still have at least one home playoff game, but I would think they would have Driver active seeing as this will probably be his last regular season home game.

A class play early ball to Driver and standing ovation. Then let the young guys come in. Offensive line is a disaster right now.

Staunchly agree with above. If McCarthy activates ross ahead of Driver, I will actually lose respect for him. And I love me some MM. You can't convince me that the X's and O's advantage of having Ross in over Driver, in THIS game no less - is enough to sit Driver in his last reg. season game at Lambeau. That's over-coaching.

denniseckersly's picture

Also, if you're not gonna activate Driver tomorrow, then you're certainly not gonna activate him in the playoffs (unless you remember that he was pretty much the only packer who showed up to play last year against the Giants).

He has to play tomorrow.

Is DD still nursing a broken thumb? Maybe MM is just being cautious by holding him out of these late season games. Based on last year's playoff game, I'd sure like to think that he'll be active in the post-season.

you guys are joking, right?

so do you make sure to activate Driver for their first playoff game because it "may be DD's last home playoff game"?

or

do you make sure to activate Driver if they are lucky enough to make the Super Bowl because it'll be DD's "last chance to play in a Super Bowl"?

that's silly.

THAT would be over coaching.

Activate the best players.

DD will have his "thank you" day sometime in the future... today should be about actually winning.

Losing respect for MM if he doesn't activate DD for the last home game..seriously....if you wanted to justify losing respect for MM it should be for not trying harder to keep the ORG from even signing him and wasting a roster spot all year.

bingo.

Or how about seriously risking another playoff flop in standing by Mason Shankby?

Finally saw NFL "Replay" of last weeks game. DuJuan Harris run was the best Packer RB run in decades. Probably going back to Brockington. No finesse just speed and force. That is what I have waited to see for a long time. So then he runs only a handful. Forget Grant. Start Harris !!!

BubbaOne's picture

Just wondering...could MM be saving Harris for the playoffs? In '07 the play DD scored a 90 yard TD was never run during the season. They may have seen enough in practice from Harris and are waiting for the playoffs. No sense putting too much on tape for opposing teams to see.

" DuJuan Harris run was the best Packer RB run in decades. " Better than than Ahman Green runs where he just laid the wood in the opposing teams safety? Really?

redlights's picture

Yeah, Grant had some pretty good runs; mainly the U-71 package. Remember when Flanagan told the DLine the play, and they still scored a touchdown?

Priceless!

Tundraboy's picture

Yeah

I'm confused about Dale Ross versus Jeremy Ross. Isn't Jeremy a reporter for a Milwaukee TV station?

I'd say start Driver today and play the best players in the playoffs. The difference between Ross (whichever one) and Driver won't be the difference in the game.

I'm hoping that they play G. Harrell in the 4th quarter of these next two games in blowouts. Don't sit ARodg!
