Packers' 46-Man Roster Prediction for Week 6 at Ravens

Casey Hayward joins Clay Matthews and Brad Jones as being ruled out for the Ravens game. Who will join them on the inactive list?

Here's our best guess at predicting the Green Bay Packers' game-day roster for Sunday's Week 5 game against the Detroit Lions. Reminder, only 46 players can be active...

The entire roster is included. Those bold and italicized are predicted to be inactive...

Quarterback: Aaron Rodgers, Seneca Wallace

Running back: Eddie Lacy, John Kuhn, James Starks, Johnathan Franklin, Michael Hill

Wide receiver: Randall Cobb, Jordy Nelson, James Jones, Jarrett Boykin

Tight end: Jermichael Finley, Andrew Quarless, Ryan Taylor, Brandon Bostick

Offensive line: David Bakhtiari, Josh Sitton, Evan Dietrich-Smith, T.J. Lang, Don Barclay, Marshall Newhouse, Greg Van Roten, Lane Taylor

Defensive line: Datone Jones, B.J. Raji, Ryan Pickett, C.J. Wilson, Johnny Jolly, Mike Daniels, Josh Boyd

Outside linebacker: Clay Matthews, Nick Perry, Mike Neal, Nate Palmer, Andy Mulumba

Inside linebacker: A.J. Hawk, Brad Jones, Jamari Lattimore, Sam Barrington

Cornerback: Tramon Williams, Sam Shields, Casey Hayward, Micah Hyde, Davon House, Jarrett Bush, James Nixon

Safety: Morgan Burnett, M.D. Jennings, Jerron McMillian, Chris Banjo

Special teams: Mason Crosby, Tim Masthay, Brett Goode

Commentary:

  • Five players have been ruled out for Sunday's game: Clay Matthews (thumb), Brad Jones (hamstring), Casey Hayward (hamstring), James Starks (knee) and Greg Van Roten (ankle).
  • The only player listed as questionable is Jarrett Bush (hamstring) and the prediction is that he'll play after practicing on Friday.
  • Ryan Pickett, Andy Mulumba and Sam Barrington are all listed as probable and all should play.
  • With five players ruled out, there's only two other players that must be inactive on game days. Rookie defensive lineman Josh Boyd has become one of the default players ruled out, but the last decision is the hardest one.
  • C.J. Wilson has twice been a healthy scratch, but so has Brandon Bostick. The final decision probably comes down to those two players unless Bush is held out of the game due to his hamstring injury.
  • First-year cornerback James Nixon will be making his NFL regular season debut if active as predicted.

With the updated Roster, of Francois out, the last spot to me will come down to Brandon Bostick and James Nixon.

I think it will depend on if they feel they need more help at the TE spot. I could see Bostick being activated for the first time.
Although I could see them using Nixon on special teams a lot more especially if Bush isn't 100%. And they might try him as a KR?

I think Nixon will be activated to the 46.

Casey Hayward was declared out? I must have missed that, thought we were still waiting on that later today.
