Packers' 46-Man Roster Prediction for Week 2 vs. Washington

Safety Morgan Burnett, guard Josh Sitton and cornerback Jarrett Bush are all listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Washington.

Here's our best guess at predicting the Green Bay Packers' game day roster for Sunday's Week 2 game against Washington. Reminder, only 46 players can be active...

The entire roster is included. Those bold and italicized are predicted to be inactive...

Quarterback: Aaron Rodgers, Seneca Wallace

Running back: Eddie Lacy, John Kuhn, James Starks, Johnathan Franklin

Wide receiver: Randall Cobb, Jordy Nelson, James Jones, Jarrett Boykin, Jeremy Ross

Tight end: Jermichael Finley, Andrew Quarless, Ryan Taylor, Brandon Bostick

Offensive line: David Bakhtiari, Josh Sitton, Evan Dietrich-Smith, T.J. Lang, Don Barclay, Marshall Newhouse, Greg Van Roten, Lane Taylor

Defensive line: Datone Jones, B.J. Raji, Ryan Pickett, C.J. Wilson, Johnny Jolly, Mike Daniels, Josh Boyd

Outside linebacker: Clay Matthews, Nick Perry, Mike Neal, Nate Palmer, Andy Mulumba

Inside linebacker: A.J. Hawk, Brad Jones, Rob Francois, Jamari Lattimore, Sam Barrington

Cornerback: Tramon Williams, Sam Shields, Casey Hayward, Micah Hyde, Davon House, Jarrett Bush

Safety: Morgan Burnett, M.D. Jennings, Jerron McMillian, Chris Banjo

Special teams: Mason Crosby, Tim Masthay, Brett Goode

Commentary:

  • Burnett, Sitton and Bush are all listed as questionable, giving them approximately a 50/50 chance to play on Sunday. All are predicted to be active.
  • Finley and Perry are listed as probable, giving them at least a 75 percent chance of playing. It would be surprising if they don't play.
  • Only Hayward is listed officially as "out."
  • If any of the questionable players don't suit up on Sunday, it's likely Franklin will play after making his professional debut in Week 1.

I agree, for the most part. I am wondering about Bush. If he can't play I am thinking possibly Franklin takes the other gunner spot?
If Sitton doesn't go then Taylor will go in his place.

Have to have Barrington, Boyd, and Palmer active. They are young, strong, and fast. A draft and develop team, these are your core players. You immediately place your team at a disadvantage without them. Don't have a dominant offense any longer, unless Lacy carries the offense on his back.. possible.. Not 100% sure yet.. Rather see maybe Ross, Boykin, and Starks, maybe taylor te, inactive. Especially with weaknesses at Perry, stinger, Burnett, whatever, bush, whatever, Hayward whatever.. Hurt. And not up to par McMillan, and md Jennings. Need the power, need the defense.. Go Defense, Go pack Go. Need to mix up the dl and line backing.. Mathews ILB Neal ILB Mix it up perry ILB Mix it up.. Mix it up.. Got all the fantastic lb's and defensive lineman..mix it up.. Mix it up.. Boy I'd be great DC. NOT UTILIZING DEFENSIVE PERSONNEL ENOUGH.. WITHOUT ADJUSTMENTS I HAVE LISTED WASH 29 GB 28.

There is no defense for a lack of carriage returns, either.

Not up to par with Dr. Jennings and McMillan and wife? Any serviceable safety is better than those two at this point.

I put the pack 18th in power rankings after week one (1). Until they become the defensive team I am looking for.

You would! Pack among the top 5-7 teams in the NFL.

And until then, all you can do is continue in your roll as chairman of the UFSC...the Unofficial Fart Smeller Committee.

He got kicked off the Official Fart Smeller Committee for being a semi-literate troll of a Vikings fan. The OFSC has standards.

7-10 on the power of the offense alone; hello, four touchdowns against the niners! The only real problem I see is the secondary. If we can find a fix for that we are top 5.

Well obviously your opinion isn't worth the price of a Ponder jersey (6$).

Even if he is 100% healthy I would list McMillon as "questionable", that was the worst over all secondary play I have seen by a Packer player since the Tiger Greene and Estus Hood days of horror. He should have returned his game check on Monday.

the team is what it is. If the Skins move the ball and score at will, we will all have that confirmation that the team is in trouble on defense.

Not sure Sitton will be ready. Back problems are hard to shake. Have ended more than a few careers.
