The record seems correct. I think about four hamstrings have been injured with the mock belt as well. (Not including the 18 or so non-athletes watching at home doing it while rooting against the pack)

Thought the young dbs did nicely. Hyde is getting far less conservative on punt returns and it is paying off. Interesting that Joe Thomas got so much playing time over the other mlbs. Guess they like his pass coverage. Cobb and Jones had great games. Like how Shields, Dix, and and now Hayward all bounced back from sub-par games. Lovin' this team right now.

It was interesting how quickly Joe Thomas went from not on the squad to playing significant snaps. I guess they like him in pass coverage over their other options.

Sort of unrelated, but I need to read like 2,000 words dissecting that second Packers drive. That was surgical. Excellent, excellent play calling.

Charles sure did a lot of grandstanding for a guy whose team was getting their asses kicked. He must really be something when they're winning.

Did a faux-Lambeau leap too. Somebody should have accidentally spilled their beer on his head. I would never condone hooliganism but accidents do happen.

I knew when Charles did the belt that ARod would have a good game, just didn't think he'd be THAT good. He was awesome, except the fumble. When will guys learn?

I just hope guys get healthy, or we might need to sign Chmura again

The Bears seem to be having a fire sale. I wonder if they'd ship Bennett up north.

(I know they won't...but still.)

Good - Rodgers, Daniels, Mathews, Thompsons ability to unearth talent.
They were simply the best in the game last night. Daniels was unblockable most of the game, and seeing Mathews everywhere is the best thing for our defense. Another good that came from the game, is Nate Palmer continues to get better, and Joe Thomas looks like he will be able to help this year. I was impressed with Palmer covering Charles. Thats not an easy job and he did really well.

Look at the number of players (undrafted/late round picks) Thompson has brought in that made big contributions last night. Jayrone Elliott, Nate Palmer, Joe Thomas, Alonzo Harris, Chris Banjo.

Bad - Peppers, Use of timeouts.
Peppers really looked old to me last night. He looks old and stiff all of a sudden.
Timeouts, not having a timeout to use a challenge, not good. They did the same thing in the first half last week. They need to manage their timeouts better.

Ugly - Injuries
Nothing worse then these injuries right now. Early in the game, Montgomery limped off, and then Adams re injures his ankle. Luckily Montgomery was able to return. Later in the game then Quarless was injured.

That game was an awesome display of domination. After playing Seattle, it would have been expected to come out a little flat. Instead, the team played even better this week than they did against Seattle. I love that MM and TT are in charge of my favorite team!

I live in Mo and grew up in Kenosha so the win last night was sweet. It seems the Packers always want to make it interesting by letting a team get close in the 4th quarter I was hoping first team could take some snaps off but that did not work.

I thought the O-Line did a decent job protecting Rodgers, especially in the middle. All week long we heard about Houston and Hali. Barclay who I was worried about last week and this more than stepped up. Bakhtieri seemed to struggle a little after his left leg was bent but all in all a good job. Packers 7 sacks...Chiefs 1.... Houston 0 sacks!! Rodgers is a magician!

James Jones... Jones has been a godsend for sure. Losing Jordy and with Adams injured Jones has been a target Rodgers trusts. He's also seemed to cure whatever case of the drops he had years ago. The Giants are working out Welker and Hicks today. Can you believe they actually let Jones go?

BTW... Hey tWins, do you still think Jones should buy Miles White a house for taking his spot? Clearly our man Teddy T got it right!!!

I love Montgomery! Yes he got caught blocking before Cobb caught the ball and a TD was called back. But the kid does block well and catches the ball when he gets his opportunities.

How come this post is biased on calling out "bad" and "ugly", and you don't have great and beautiful. There were just too many good and great performances the last two games to only find 3 "goods".

Great: Rodgers, Matthews, Daniels, JJones, RCobb, : both receivers made the KC defense demoralized with all the yards after catch...that is by the end of the 1st quarter.
Good: The rising young defenders; DRandall, NPalmer, TElliot, and then MCrosby, Oline (Sitton, Lindsley, DBarclay).

Ok, now I got one for the ugly, and I think this is epic and should be posted anytime anyone wants to bring up any stat that is posted by PFF ever again:

Aaron Rodgers was given a -0.8 rating from PFF !?!

According to PFF, for the QBs who played this week, he ranked 17th (!!!), behind such superstars as Winston, Bortles, and Foles...

Now, according to PFF, +1 to -1 is average. So he played at the lower level of average, just a little above bad. So for PFF, 24-for-35 for 333 yards, 5 TDs, 0 INTs, 0 fumbles (the 1 was overturned by the penalty on the CB) is a QB performance worthy of being the lower part of average... And of course anyone who has seen the game really knows that above stats, as impressive as those are, don't even tell the whole story... Wow, just wow...

I read the article, too. Unbelievable! I've never had an opinion with PFF grading, but if they give Aaron Rodgers an average or below average grade for what he did against the Chiefs they had better revamp their grading system for QBs!

PFF says they can't judge intangibles. Well, then, I guess AR broke their system because his performance was a masterpiece and will outlive the opinions and grading system of PFF!

Since PFF deducted points for Rodgers based on an interception the Chiefs should have had ( in their opinion), I hope they added points for the ball that went right through Adams hands to start the game.

They also lowered his grade because a number of the TD's came on short-passes, instead crediting the WR's for bringing it home.

Who do they think recognized the favorable match-ups in the first place? And who do they think marched the team downfield to a position where a short TD pass was an option?

It was so obvious, to even the casual observer, that AR was the best player on the field. Clearly he was the difference between the two teams yesterday and most days he plays. If PFF can't come up with a better system that takes into account intangibles, it becomes much less relevant . With #12 the intangibles are more a part of his game, and subsequently the teams success, than just about any other QB in the league (Peyton comes to mind also).

The way PFF grades - difficulty is greatly rewarded. So next time Rodgers has a man open he should try to bounce one off the scoreboard first.

what's totally bizarre to me is that they only seem to count impact plays that show (or potentially show) on the score sheet. So they say 2 good throws for TD. One should've been INT that should've been returned for a pick 6, and one would've been fumble that would've taken points off the board. Nothing for the 3 other TDs since those were "easy" throws and the "WRs did all the hard work"... Of course, looking at that, 2 good plays, 2 bad plays, that's average...
While one cannot necessarily count all intangibles (how many sacks did #12 avoid compared to a less mobile QB such as P. Manning?), one can clearly count the impact of the hard count, now the 2nd game in a row, and the resulting huge plays that had great impact on the game, or the quick recognition that the chiefs had 12 men on the field.. Regardless of whether those were immediate scores or not.
Plus it seems too simplistic to say that the short throws were such easy ones and that the WR then did all the hard work. As Gruden pointed out, the ball comes out so quickly that the other WRs can block without committing a foul. Other QBs can maybe make the throw but not as quickly, so the blocking WRs would've been flagged. And, he clearly identified the correct mismatches... Does anyone at PFF really believe that in those exact situations one would just substitute Winston, Bortles, or Foles in for #12 and the result is the exact same for even those "simple" throws??? Have any of those people who are grading actually ever watched a football game???

I hope everybody noticed sarcasm from my first post. I just got done listening to a guy from PFF explain the rating on the dan heller show. They dont give credit to the qb for yards after catch or pre snap reads. Thats what makes him so good- giving the ball to guys in position to make plays. Its his eyes and intelligence along with his feet and arm that makes him great. I dont think much of PFF after hearing that.

With no due respect (to PFF), it is asinine to try to rate QB play based solely on what happens from the snap until the whistle blows a play dead. It that is all you are going to count, you might as well not even bother.

But even if that is all they used, they still got it wrong.

Rodgers was a Houdini in the pocket yesterday. He was dead to rights for a Safety and somehow rolled left to find Cobb for 20. He scrambled for another 1st down. He stepped up, he rolled out and slid around. But half the basis of their negative grade was poor pocket presence on a play where his best WR was getting mugged. it's utter nonsense.

The other half of their basis was one pass out of 30+. It was a bad pass, no doubt. Rodgers was lucky it was not a pick. Which is certainly a big deal given his 48 TDs in Lambeau since his last pick there. But 5 TDs & 70% completions certainly does mean he must have thrown way more good ones that bad ones.

Aaron - I think that you need to add another category for the way Aaron Rodgers is playing. Call it Unbelievable or Tremendous or Tour de Force, or Never Seen Before, but Good just doesn't cut it for Aaron Rodgers anymore.
I'm not sure Datone Jones deserves the Bad designation, I thought that he played well until he was hurt. I would add the officials to the bad for one of the worst spots I've ever seen on KCs 4th quarter, 4th and 17 pass play that was short by a yard to a yard and a half. If the ball is spotted correctly it's game over right there. Also, for their call on HHCD. That was a legitimate shoulder to shoulder hit and if the ball had come loose it would probably have been ruled an incomplete pass. Should Dix go low and take him out at the knees? Very questionable call. I'm happy to see good, solid defense in back to back games and our OL has done a great job against 2 excellent pass rush teams. Go Pack Go! Thanks, Since '61

really what was the difference between Clinton-Dix's hit and Randall's hit? Randall's hit was just as hard and to a defenseless receiver. The only real difference that i saw was Randall wrapped up and Clinton-Dix used his shoulder.

I think wrapping up is what the officials and NFL want. Pretty much if you wrap up your good as long as it doesn't involve helmet contact on the receiver/runner.

The Packers had squandered all their timeouts so they could not challenge the spot. Rodgers likes to take the play clock down to 1 second often to get the D to commit and make adjustments, but it seems they are using their timeouts too early quite often.
