February 07, 2011 at 10:18 am
I'd love to be back in Sydney and have a Toohies (sp?) or two with ya mate.
I was holding my breath the whole second half. Thank you St. Vince for giving us Dom Capers.
February 07, 2011 at 12:13 am
Man i felt so bad seeing driver and woodson on the sidelines in the 2nd half. You could just see the pain in their eyes not being able to get out there. Glad the Pack won it for them.
February 07, 2011 at 12:13 am
Absolutely beautiful... best day ever... you folks deserve an award, and I think you guys won it tonight... season well done, let's do it again.
February 07, 2011 at 12:13 am
This one if for Donald. This one if for Charles.
February 07, 2011 at 09:46 am
this is also one for chad
February 20, 2011 at 09:54 pm
You are correct: I am very happy for Chad. Clifton is the most recent in a line of solid pass protecting Packer Left Tackles! I have always loved his competitive streak and his ability to handle elite pass rushers w\o having elite speed! I hope he can playa couple more effective seasons because this might be the start of a good ride in GB
February 07, 2011 at 12:15 am
The Good: All you people at CHTV and you bloggers. Been a fun ride! I wanted to make this the worst season of our lives, but the Packers turned it into the BEST.
February 07, 2011 at 12:17 am
You know you guys have now set a bench mark for coverage this year. Heres to many more years of being the no.1 packer site. I love and thank all of you.
February 07, 2011 at 12:18 am
life is good to me sometimes!!!
February 07, 2011 at 12:26 am
What a game - what a season!! In the good - the Packer defense!!! 21 points off of 3 turn overs they created. Tim Masthay - he was strong and steady; playing a very big part in this game. Aaron Rodgers - I thank you for being a team player!!! I LOVE THE GREEN BAY PACKERS
February 07, 2011 at 12:27 am
and the bears still suck!
February 07, 2011 at 08:35 pm

What an incredible day. Unbelievably blessed to be there. Packer fans are the greatest in the world! Nothing ugly is right...
February 07, 2011 at 12:46 am
Next up: Dynasty baby!
February 07, 2011 at 12:50 am
hell yeah!!! can anyone say repeat next year???
February 07, 2011 at 12:55 am
So awesome, so very very awesome. It was unfortunate to see Driver and Woodson go down, I was hoping they would have big games today.
I agree, Dynasty in the making. The Pack will make a run on the '72 Dolphins, watch.
February 07, 2011 at 01:04 am
Had to work till 830, so went to the closest bar I could find. Me and a few old codgers in manhattan surrounded by a dozen beautiful lesbians. thought I was in heaven. Until it was obvious they were rooting for the tin men...
Ruined their night, I guess.
But, I'm so happy. Hugging folks on the street, and the empire state building lit in green and gold.
I am so happy. But needed a cheesy fix here. Thanks to all of you, and Aaron, hope the kids sleep well with visions of green and gold confetti dancing in their dreams.
WORLD CHAMPIONS!
Oh, yeah.
February 14, 2011 at 11:10 pm
Go Pack! I got these <a href="http://www.baby-product-reviews.net/product/B003YI30UW/nfl-pacifiers-2-p... rel="nofollow">packer pacifiers</a> about 30 minutes before kickoff...she was practically "pacified" for 4 hours straight and i got to enjoy the entire game!...another packer miracle!
February 07, 2011 at 01:07 am
btw, does it get better than this? I remember all four Superbowl wins. and the answer is no. Its just as good every time.
February 07, 2011 at 01:19 am
Ugly= Big Ben
February 07, 2011 at 02:11 am
Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile.
February 07, 2011 at 02:23 am
It was like the scene in "Major League" when they won the pennant; everyone hugging each other, total bliss. HEART WINS GAMES, as evidenced by our WORLD CHAMPION GREEN BAY PACKERS. Aaron, I enjoyed it in the same fashion. All my friends went down to the bar to watch, but I wanted to be there with my family, with my Dad. That made it all the more special. Ric Flair called, he said WHOOOOOOOOOO!
February 07, 2011 at 03:14 am
This is a little premature, I know, but I think the time has come for the renaming of a couple of streets in Green Bay...yah-hey!!!!
February 07, 2011 at 05:27 pm
its not to early to re-name streets in green bay.. theres enough streets to go around.. Rodgers RD., McCarthy Ave.,, just a few suggestions...
February 07, 2011 at 05:49 pm
I like McCarthy Drive
February 07, 2011 at 08:49 pm
Ted Thompson Way
February 07, 2011 at 09:36 pm
Occasional Run?
: P Couldn't resist.
P.S. SUPER BOWL CHAMPS!!!
February 08, 2011 at 03:07 pm
Aaron Rodgers Lane or
Aaron Rodgers Drive
Donald Driver's Route ...
I like Ted Thompson's Way ... Really, I like his way.
Mike McCarthy Road
But the big question is:
What street name's get changed?
A section of Oneida? Ridge? Potts?
SUPER BOWL CHAMPS, BABY!
February 07, 2011 at 03:33 am
So glad we were able to hang on for Charles and Donald. Got me thinking about Al Harris too. We need to make sure that man gets a ring for all the work he put in trying to get back onto the field for us. I'm sure we'll do the right thing.
February 07, 2011 at 03:42 am
I agree; hope the Pack will do right by him.
February 07, 2011 at 09:19 am
I think it is done by team vote.
February 07, 2011 at 05:54 pm
Love Al Harris, and I'm heartbroken for him that he didn't have the opportunity to experience the Superbowl. He certainly deserves to go before his career ends.
That said, He did not contribute a shred to the Packers trip to the superbowl this season. It's not his fault, but that's the fact. He was PUP and then released after three weeks of limited practice. He finished the season on the Dolphin's IR.
Sorry, Al. It's a shame, and you deserve a shot at a SB, but you did not contribute. No ring for you.
There's no "Doing right" issue here, IMO.
This isn't a charity, it's a professional environment.
February 08, 2011 at 01:31 am
i agree yet disagree.. its true he didnt assist the packers on the field.. but you have no idea what he did for sam shields with all of his free time he could be responsible for sam shields becoming the player he is now.. even with that being said its kind of crazy to think about giving him a ring when he never played a game.. its just a shame tho cause he was a great packer..
February 07, 2011 at 04:11 am
Yeah, I wish Al and Kampy could have shared in this.
That said, best freaking feeling EVER. CWood and Donald have earned their rings, even if they weren't able to play the 2nd half.
February 07, 2011 at 10:38 am
Idaho, were you still up from last night when you posted this? LOL
February 07, 2011 at 10:52 am
As a matter of fact, with a brief nap after the game, I was still up. :)
February 07, 2011 at 05:57 pm
I wish Aaron Kampman would have chose to stay in GB as well, but he made his decision to move on to a 4-3 defense.
He wood have been a great bookend this year for Matthews, but everyone has to do what is right for them. For Kampman, that was going back to playing in a 4-3 for more money.
February 07, 2011 at 11:25 pm
Yikes, "wood" should read "would".
Wow, embarrassing.
February 07, 2011 at 06:44 am
Green Bay Packers, Super Bowl XLV Champions, enough said!
February 07, 2011 at 06:57 am
Bring on Aunt Gert!
February 07, 2011 at 07:07 am
The only thing I would nominate for the Ugly is the halftime show. And the skank that ruined the national anthem.
February 07, 2011 at 09:23 am
The whole concept of an "artist" "performing" the national anthem is absurd and undemocratic. The anthem should be sung by the crowd.
When several thousand people sing, it may not always sound great, but it never sounds bad. And, fittingly, everyone is a participant.
February 07, 2011 at 10:54 am
The halftime show has been tired for a very long time. They need to think way outside the box. There is no written rules that requires a pop star to perform at halftime. As just one example, I think Penn and Teller could put together an awesome and memorable half time show.
February 07, 2011 at 09:16 am
One of my favorite parts of the evening was Rodgers on the podium---after winning the Super Bowl---and he is pissed at himself for not being able to score a touchdown on the Packers second to last possession. That tells you what you need to know about Rodgers. He is not going to be satisfied with one ring.
BTW, I think it would be awesome if one announcer just once exclaimed "Look at Rodgers he just like an ADULT out there!"
February 07, 2011 at 09:22 am
I guess what I noticed was he credited his defense first. A guy could get a big head being named MVP, and start to think that the whole reason the team won the Super Bowl was because of him. After the last three Packer Super Bowls, can we all agree that if your defense cannot hold you cannot win?
February 07, 2011 at 10:23 am
3D, Awesome - "ADULT". Wonder if he was driving his tractor all day?
February 07, 2011 at 11:30 am
I'm gonna use that. That is awesome!
February 07, 2011 at 11:49 am
Ha! NICE point. +1
February 07, 2011 at 11:11 pm
“Look at Rodgers he just like an ADULT out there!”
+1
February 07, 2011 at 09:27 am
This years Packers are the 2nd youngest team in the NFL. This fact keeps getting repeated every time I turn around.
BUT where does this team rank in that category among Super Bowl winners?
February 07, 2011 at 06:02 pm
Who cares? A super bowl winning team is exactly that.
The playing field, the competition, the circumstance every year is different. There is no way to critically measure a team against all of the possible variables.
The 2010 Packers won superbowl XLV. That is all that matters! :)
February 07, 2011 at 09:54 am
How bout a pick six for Collins??!??!?
How bout shutting 'em down on the final drive with Lee & Bush on the field??
Flippin Beautiful
February 07, 2011 at 10:25 am
NFL needs to check the bank account of the Ref who called "excessive celebration" on Collins. ASS HEAD is he!
February 07, 2011 at 05:33 pm
its a rule that u "cannot" go to the ground during a celebration... just as jared allen of the vikings cannot celebrate his sacks by dropping a knee to the ground.. its a new rule...
February 07, 2011 at 05:34 pm
its a rule that u "cannot" go to the ground during a celebration... just as jared allen of the vikings cannot celebrate his sacks by dropping a knee to the ground.. its a new rule... nick collins dropped to his knees..
February 08, 2011 at 01:33 am
uhhh everyone goes to their knees and prays after they score.. usually its not "in the end zone" but on the sideline but that seems silly under certain contexts
February 07, 2011 at 10:01 am
An interception by Jarrett Freakin' Bush! C'mon now! Talk about team depth. Talk about 'redemption'. Where do I go to get my #24 jersey???
February 07, 2011 at 10:08 am
Ummm, except that he also gave up the TD to Ward by taking his eyes off the receiver. When it happened, I tweeted that the #24 that I'm used to showed up.
I like JB on ST. I get very nervous when he's in the 2ndary. I honestly thought he'd make "the ugly".
February 07, 2011 at 10:34 am
Wow!Can't find words for what this team has done and very likely capable of continuing to do.
Biggest peeve and question of the night...When in the good name of OUR COUNTRY will they just sing our ANTHEM as it should be,for ALL and not for his or her personal rendition which they constantly screw up and DISGRACE OUR SOLDIERS(men and women) who DIE defending it.
That was and should be in the UGLY HALL of SHAME.Please let's not allow any more inductions to it.
February 07, 2011 at 10:46 am
Can you believe how well Chad Clifton and Scott Wells held up and played this year?
February 07, 2011 at 11:10 am
Can you also believe how well the 21 year old kid played down the stretch on the right side of the line?
I love how he's responded when challenged.
February 07, 2011 at 11:02 am
For the first time ever I am pumped to go to work and see all the steeler fans! Best nite ever I love life.
February 07, 2011 at 11:14 am
Clifton and Bulaga deserve special recognition for their fine work. One near the end and one at the beginning. They both controlled their corners and gave AR his chance to excell.
Go Pack Go!
February 07, 2011 at 11:30 am
If I was any happier I’d be twins.
Congrats to the whole GBP organization! Yes I mean dietary aids, trainers, secretaries, grounds crew, equiptment handlers, … everyone.
Hope you all get a nice fat bonus in your next paycheck.
February 07, 2011 at 12:28 pm
Im a twin and I couldnt be happier either! What a day.
February 08, 2011 at 03:12 pm
Then you must be a quadruplet!
February 07, 2011 at 02:49 pm
I nominate the halftime show for the ugly. Absolute crap.
February 07, 2011 at 02:58 pm
I AM SO F@#$%^& HAPPY FOR MY TEAM,A.R ,M.M AND ALL PACKER FANS AROUND THE WORLD.OH YEA,M.V.P TOO? I LOVE MY TEAM. JUST ONE QUESTION.CAN WE STOP WASTING TIME HATING BART NOW?
February 07, 2011 at 09:46 pm
Who hates #15? How is that even possible? : )
February 07, 2011 at 03:02 pm
Wow, not only are the Packers "World Champions" wait, I need to say it again...The Green Bay Packers are "World Champions"...aahhh, that felt good.
Where was I, oh yeah, not only are they "World Champions" but I sell SB posters, so it's a Win, Win for me.
Not to be a downer, but Tramon's punt return fiasco was UGLY, UGLY!!! Critical time of the game, doesn't run up and fair catch the ball and let's the ball bounce (a pattern of his), then stays near the ball as it bounces/rolls 20 more yards, and then gets a 15 PF penalty...again, UGLY!
February 07, 2011 at 04:01 pm
Finding a great return man has to be at the top of TT's off-season list. I used to figure that Shields could do it next year. But now I don't want to see him being placed at risk in that role. I'd prefer that TT found a return man who is a viable 4/5 WR option. But I'm getting a little ahead of the moment.
February 07, 2011 at 06:08 pm
I certainly would think that TT/MM will change their philosophy on the KR/PR position.
I understand they'd rather not use a roster spot on a dedicated return specialist, but this season has provided many good points on why it might be best to let a specialist handle that role.
Shields is nothing but a fast guy back there on returns. he lacks any instinct for returning punts or kicks. His lack of prowess despite his blazing speed is another prime example of why the Packers need to invest in a return specialist.. watching Williams let a punt go (which is fine), but then inexplicably closely FOLLOWING the ball down the field made me shout "GET A SPECIALIST WHO KNOWS WTF THEY'RE DOING, PRONTO" at the screen.
February 08, 2011 at 01:48 pm
Jerrel Jernigan would fit the bill, at least in my mind. Accompished return man with one punt TD and one kick return TD this year. Undersized for a reciever at 5'8", but legitmate 4.3 speed. As a fourth or fifth received you wouldn't worry about putting him out there as a PR and having him go full bore, and he could be used as a down-field threat for the Packers in 4 receiver formations. Has a 2/3 round grade right now, so theoretically the Packers could pick him up at the bottom of the 2nd.
February 07, 2011 at 05:12 pm
Here's to hoping he doesn't have to return punts ever again. He should concentrate on just being a pro bowl cb.
February 07, 2011 at 05:21 pm
i absolutely love this team!!!!! so happy for the players and staff... worst halftime show ever and national anthem.. and of course the vikings website makes me want to absolutely puke about what ive read on there.. they are so stupid they dont have a clue... GREAT JOB PACKERS!!!!!!
February 08, 2011 at 02:37 am
What could they possibly say about the Pack after winning the Lombardi Trophy?
February 07, 2011 at 09:04 pm
So proud of all these guys. I still can't believe what they've accomplished. But now that they have, it's been one of the best moments of my life. So glad I was able to travel home to watch it with family and friends I grew up watching packer games with. Celebrating with them is what it's all about.
So happy for Rodgers because he not only shut everyone up, he put together one of the greatest QB performances in Super Bowl history. McCarthy and Thompson as well. They all deserve to have streets named after them. The Packers are Super Bowl champions baby and no one will ever take that away.
February 07, 2011 at 09:58 pm
In the words of Charles Woodson:
"WHITE HOUSE ON THREE!"
February 08, 2011 at 02:24 am
So so happy and everyone should check out the lil wayne green and yellow song. I don't care if you don't like rap. This is a great song and i feel so good i'm not from minny after princes song as much i respect his work.
February 08, 2011 at 09:00 am
im not into rap but that i like that song!!! i never knew lil wayne was a packer fan..
February 08, 2011 at 05:44 am
I did want to mention that 23M watched the pre-game and 111M watched the actual game.
Jayme Snowden
February 08, 2011 at 09:59 am
I'm putting in a vote for Dallas/North Texas in the ugly.
February 20, 2011 at 10:32 pm
...and so it came and went
