yup.

I would consider switching Special teams in the ugly to the Refs.

I mean how in the hell do they not call a holding penalty on that 3rd down that the Dolphins converted a first down? Perry gets completely spun around, right next to the QB where there is 1-2 refs watching at all times...

Horrible.

Also I thought the Pass interference penalty on House was very ticky tacky, and there was very bad missed holding penalty later in the game that should have went against the dolphins.

Hard to call Bulaga bad working against Wake in that heat all day. The Packers ran 79 plays (42 passes) in 87 degree weather against a very good defensive line.

Sorry, but it's not hard at all. We're not grading on a curve here. As I intimated in Gut Reactions, they survived after that initial sack, but Bulaga's play was an issue all afternoon, not just on the plays he gave up sacks to Wake.

He destroyed Wake on both the 4th and 10 and game-winning TD plays. Plenty of other plays where he "won" today. Calling anyone bad because they got beat on the road a few times by a premiere pass rusher is silly.

Thank you! @Pack

Wake is a damn good football player (not just rusher).

Props to our O-Line. They fought all game - 'til the end!

A few times? Go back and watch that matchup again. He got beaten on the majority of the snaps they were matched up on. Rodgers getting rid of the ball or having the play go away from him kept things from being much, much worse.

Yes, he made some nice plays - but overall, it was an extremely sub-standard performance. What's silly is not being able to recognize that through Green and Gold glasses.

So you think Wake won on over 35 snaps? I'm sorry, but you're wrong. The MAJORITY had Bulaga winning, including his great performance on the game-winning drive. You could also tell that they made a halftime adjustment to run Wake up the field and have Rodgers step into that void because he was hellbent on turning the edge all day. I DID go back and watch, did you? I counted 3 plays where Bulaga lost. 3. The rest he blocked his guts out, often dismantling Wake or a linebacker. You're exaggerating things to fit your narrative.

The play of both OTs dictated that the Packers could not attack as aggressively as they might have wanted to attack. Yes, Wake and Vernon are very good players.

But reality is reality. And the reality is both OTs struggled dealing with those good players.

Wow, we keep playing really good (stout!) defensive lines game after game after game, which is apparently why our offensive line gives up sacks and pressures and can't generate much movement or open holes.

I have no trouble calling Bulaga bad today. Giving up a sack in less than 2.1 seconds is going to cause trouble. Wake had 1.5 sacks and 3 QB hits.

I'm all for the love that Rodgers is in the Good. But man, if Lang doesnt come up with that fumble, he could be in the Bad. As much as we are praising Rodgers, and believe me its well deserved, and it will shut up a lot of those "cant make the 4th quarter comeback BS", (yes, Colin Cowherd, et al), it couldve finished Ugly for us.

This team is never out of any game, but man it sure seems like they always have to get down somehow.

It's almost like they have to first seek out adversity, before they start to "try hard."

I agree, it's like MM and 12 have to reach a point where they say, "OK, no more BS, let's go score." Very frustrating to watch them ever fail because of how easy it looks at times.

After all the times Rodgers did his part in a 4th quarter comeback only to watch some other element of the team fail in their part, Rodgers was due a break like Lang's heads-up and timely fumble recovery.

Lots of QBs playing at a higher level than old #12. Complete has been.

8-8.

The int in the 1st game went off of Jordy's hands and bounced straight up. It should have been caught. So what if he holds the ball to long and takes a few extra sacks, he doesn't beat himself or the team.

When the team gets together and watches game film, do guys like Jones get up and apologize to the team for sucking? These guys have to be called out for bad play, dead play is the same as dead money, so cut the bum. If anyone in any work place keeps fucking up, YOUR FIRED! Its almost as bad as CHTV letting skip cowless participate.

What I would like to know is: why don't we kick the ball in the back of the endzone on EVERY kickoff!?

Crosby has more than enough leg power.

After our game-winning TD why didn't we kick it through the back of the endzone? Starting from the 20 (80-yds) vs gambling on a kick return or great field position (knowing our ST play isn't strong)

So great to see #12 growing his legend in games like these. He's always had the untouchable statistics, but he hasn't had as many "signature moments" as a player of his caliber deserves. That's beginning to change though. This game was huge. So was coming back from 21-3 against NYJ.

And of course, Week 17 in Chicago was just absolutely epic.

I have much more confidence in the Packers' ability to triumph late in close games than I've ever had. Hopefully players do as well.

You have to add injuries to the ugly. The Packers have been playing great pass defense all year and can't afford to lose Shields AND Williams for any extended time. Lets just hope the Packers Doctors are right about Shields, at least the initial report where it's not to serious.
I'm not so sure Matthews doesn't belong there too. Except for the batted down pass he didn't play well at all. You'd think a guy with that much talent would be better playing the "Read Option" by now. I'm all for what others have mentioned, put Matthews inside and start Perry at ROLB. He's so fast his lateral pursuit would be a asset in the middle. With Cam Newton coming to town, the Packers can't afford to have Matthews crashing the line every play and losing containment.

Special Teams are UGLY every week. They make multiple stupid plays every week..........first kick......... great return for them......first punt..........blocked........late punt ....... one of our uncoached players is chasing the ball on the ground, thank goodness he didn't catch up to it and have it bounce off his hands and become a live ball for them. Our STs are so poorly coached that only the guys we retain for years have figured it out(through their own past mistakes). How many games do we have to lose, before our dumbass coaches tell our players to get the heck away from a received punt on the ground before it bounces off of you and becomes a live ball for the other team.

Last week we were lucky and the received muffed punt went out of bounds. We have had guys standing around and the ball rolls between their legs, Belicheck's players would try to block our players towards the ball and were sussessful a couple of years ago in having the ball touch our player and become live. Lucky we recovered that one.

Earlier this year we had a player sneak up and try to reach between an opponents leg and try to down the ball before it rolled a few more inches. No coach in his right mind would encourage that. So why hasn't MM's best friend(Slocum) coached that stupidity out of our STs punt receiving team.

It's almost like we do not have a STs coach, that's why some these veteran STs players look so valuable on STs. The young players with poor or no coaching make the veterans look real skillful and smart.

The good is that we were able to pull out a win on the road. Not a perfect game by any means but it's always great to come from behind and win like that on the road.
My biggest concern coming out of the game is the health of Shields and Williams. I hated Ted's decision to keep Goodson over Rolle and hate it even more now.

Packers had 400 yards of offense,27 first downs, two interceptions, held the Dolphins rushing attack to 63 yards, and a nice goal line stand, pretty GOOD road win against a tough defense. RELAX and enjoy it!

(My initial response was going to be; 63 yards!? What!? You must not be counting Tannehill's run) Lol

I absolutely loved it.

I'm with you on this one, Evan.

With Rodgers + Nelson + Cobb + (emerging Adams) completing a 4th and short should almost be automatic.

Now, if we were to run it on those 4th and short attempts I'd be more skeptical since our O-Line has been inconsistent to say the least at run-blocking.
