-Far as I’m concerned the defense were warriors today.

    -Props to Starks too.

-Cobb just keeps getting better and better. Still haven’t glimpsed his ceiling.

-Glad to see Finley get some success. LOL. If he can do that consistently, he won’t HAVE to talk YOTTO type smack.

-Oline didn’t look the greatest, but they were going up against a very good DL. Just maintain, dudes.

I would put Tramon Williams in bad/ugly catagory as he looked like he had no idea what the hell he was doing out there.I stated when Woodson went down D would not miss him and they definetly have not missed him nor his penalties.Great looking YOUNG secondary

    • packsmack25 says:

lolwut? He was on his own (with safety help, yes, but only deep) with Calvin Freaking Johnson most of the game. You do realize that Johnson is almost literally unstoppable, right?

    • PackersRS says:

I agree with this, Williams had only underneat responsability and couldn’t perform.

I’ve seen the exact same circumstance, with the Lions actually playing better, and Tramon almost negated Johnson. He’s capable of much more.

    • razor says:

Agree on Tramon – he looked like a spectator out there! What was he doing on the 53 yard completion to CJ – he never looked for the ball. C’mon man!

  3. pooch says:

Thought Brad Jones looked good,McCarthy bad play calling.Slants i seen only in Houston game, middle wide open other than JMike they didnt take advantage.MCCARTHY 3 STEP BACK QUICK SLANT, DO YOU NOT WATCH FILM

    • Nerdmann says:

Yeah, why are you dogging Brad Jones Aaron?

      I thought he was fine.

      • Chris says:

Aaron is ‘dogging’ Jones because of the two costly penalties, I think.

        • Mike says:

Yeah – it’s the penalties. But his overall play was pretty darn good! He must have had 3 or 4 plays where he just shot the gap and tackled Leshoure in the backfield. The roughing the passer call was a bunch of bologna though.

    • razor says:

Agree 100%. Aikman commented too. Middle was open. I don’t get how Nelson and Jones disappeared. I saw Driver run a route right into a defender – is that how you get open? C’mon man!

  4. pooch says:

That head slap call was another embarrassment to the nfl

  5. Martin says:

No love for Masthay and Bush :(

  6. packsmack25 says:

Possibly the most obvious “ugly” ever. I really like Crosby. This whole ordeal just saddens me to no end.

  7. bryce says:

We need a fourth category: 1. Good 2. Bad 3. Ugly 4. Mason Crosby

  8. Bugeater says:

Our starting QB looks downright menacing right now! His onfield postgame interview was classic “Do I need to go on?” And he looked seriously pissed all game long. I think he spent the bye week adding to the chip on his shoulder and this bodes very well for the stretch run and playoffs. An angry QB1 is an unstoppable QB1. This will be the last sub-par offensive performance we will see this season. Also doesn’t hurt to have a come from behind victory this time of year. I think this game showed a Packer team evoloving from a “finesse” team to more of a punch you in the mouth team. I’m VERY excited about the Giants game and the month of December.

  9. is anybody else as worried about the O-Line as i am? you have a guard playing right tackle, a backup center playing guard, and an aging center who is clearly deteriorating in front of our eyes. i think this line would be fine for a few games but this is our line through the rest of the year and into the playoffs. now, there is a chance that they could gel in a few more games or TT could bring in some additional help but i would imagine that the guys that are out there are just mediocre to bad. i just hope that rodgers can stay healthy down the stretch. he took some big hits yesterday (of course, many of them were after the plays were over).

    • MarkinMadison says:

They are going up against two great front fours this week and next week. They are going to look rough. As long as the QB comes out the other side uninjured its all good. Better to hold onto Fairly or Suh than to get Rodgers killed. They were good enough to get through it. They will look better during December. Hopefully they will get better too.

    • KennyPayne says:

I am. Lang was consistently beat around the edge. He is a decent G he is not a decent T. I’ll give EDS a pass because it was his first game and the Lions’ DTs are good. But I saw nothing encouraging in his performance. As for Saturday, he is just done. He may be savvy but he is just about useless as a blocker. I never would have thought that Newhouse would be the steadiest performer.

  10. Evan says:

Nice little stat on Matt Ryan from Bill Barnwell at Grantland: “Ryan became the 38th player since the merger to finish a day with zero touchdowns and five picks…No quarterback had won a zero-touchdown, five-interception game since Bart Starr did it for the Packers in 1967.”

  11. PackersRS says:

So we’ve reached a stage that 3 cacthes for 66 yards and a TD, where 1 catch for a TD was due to play design, lands Finley in the good? Baby steps I guess.

  12. mark says:

I know you don’t always see the plays made in the trenches, but can somebody remember the last time BJ Raji tackled somebody for a loss? Blew up a play? Got after the quarterback?

I realize his ankle has been an issue, I credit him for playing tough, but it sure seems like he’s fallen off the last two seasons. Am I the only one sensing this?

    • Evan says:

I remember one play in particular from yesterday where he got good penetration and then (I think) Moses collided with him and they both fell down. It might have been the play Burnett got the sack?

    • Jamie says:

I actually saw him push the Center back into Staffarts face three or four times yesterday, causing him to have to bail out of the pocket or throw (wildly a time or two) earlier than he wanted to.

Was actually thinking yesterday was one of his better games.

      • mark says:

Cool, very possible I am missing his impact. I watch the games once on Sunday and don’t see everything. Glad to hear some positive feedback.

  13. djprotege says:

Funny to see all the different thoughts on Raji’s performance. I thought he was a bit inconsistant myself…

  14. Nononsense says:

I thought Casey Hayward should have been in the good category. 5 Pass breakups and a pick should get some mention at least.

  15. Fish/Crane says:

Now more than ever on the next field goal attempt- spread’em out four wide and Crosby goes under center – his plays are way too predictable lately.

  16. Mr.Bigg says:

The Good: Radio Broadcast crew, Whoever is the coach of the secondary

The Bad: the Crowd in Detroit

Ugly: John Gruden (just kidding), any pre-game Football program on FOX,

  17. denniseckersley says:

    Nagler,

I heard you on the Damon Bruce Show (KNBR 1050) this morning……

What are you doing as a guest on local Bay Area sports radio??
