I want to try and go to the Giants game for my first Lambeau game.

Do you think the Giants have any travel packages for their fans that I can jump on so that I can see my beloved Packers!!? That'd be a great Christmas gift!

Tickets seem to be like 140 for nose bleeds and 190 for the corner of the endzone. I'm almost definitely gonna get one of the two. On Halloween, should be crazy.

Jets/Packers is up on StubHub. Keep in mind, prices normally drop as the game gets closer and people want to get rid of their seats...

I like it...a lot.

We catch the Eagles and Redskins in the first 5 weeks when the QBs will still be getting used their teams. Along with the Bills and Lions at home, those should be wins.

Bye week is perfectly placed in the middle, and we'll have 2 weeks to prepare for what could be the biggest game of the season, at Minnesota.

Kinda bummed about the cold weather portion of the schedule. Only 2 games where it could be any sort of advantage.

Vikings have bye in week 4.

Only cold weather games late in season are AT Washington Nov 28th and AT Philly Dec 26th. Otherwise other 4 outta last 6 games in dome.

As I just said on Twitter - Favre not coming to Lambeau in late December is the NFL's love letter to Favre.

Gold Package is a special group of ticketholders that had tix back when the Packers used to split games between GB and Milwaukee County Stadium. When they brought all the games back to GB, they set aside two games a year for MIL ticketholders.

looking at that schedule now seems easier for some reason. We should be at least 7-2 by the bye, if not 9-0.

Bye week in the middle of the season. Only 2 series of 2 consecutive away games, with the latter being the lions.

And though the earlier, Minn at the Dump and ATL at ATL, it's right after the bye.

No really long travels, ATL to SF being the lone one...

I LIKE IT!

Ooh, you're right. I got confused because of the NFL.COM's feature where they show the distances between each game.

So, this schedule is even better, we got NO long travels!

This is absolutely the best schedule, could not have picked it better myself.

The MIN. games are in the middle of our schedule, so no matter what happens we have games to recover or build on before the playoffs.

The last 3 games are outside in the cold weather of Boston and finish with 2 in a row in Green Bay at home. This prepares the Packers beautifully for the home field advantage for the elements in the playoffs. Nothing worse than for the Packers to play in Tampa or Miami the last game.

We are set up perfectly for home field advantage in the playoffs, with the last 2 games at home in regular season. We will be used to the cold having played the last 3 games in those type of conditions.

This is just perfect, I really don't care now what happens in the draft.

There is ZERO reason for us not to get off to a 6-0 start. Sure there is a tough stretch later, but it's much better to have it later than right out of the gates.

A fast start should only breed confidence, rattling off 5 or 6 consecutive W's should really bode well for the rest of the season.

Also, we only play ONE Monday night game. So we only need to alter our routine 1 week (and it's a short trip to Chi). Having the same 7 day schedule each week can't hurt.

Oh, AND, we get a bye going into the 2nd queens game, BETTER WIN IT.

All in all, I think the schedule sets up well.

That's a tough tough schedule! But I think it's laid out nicely for us with a nice by week. 11-5 would be an oustanding record considering the difficulty. But I'm still hoping for 19-0 baby!

The tough part will be playing games 7,8, and 9 against the Vikes, Jets and 'Boys, without having had the benefit of a bye sometime before for injured players to heal...

Gold Pkg. ticket holders get the Cowboys for the 3rd consecutive year. Would've liked to see a different team.

I hear you on that. A lot of the Green Bay season ticket holders are upset they don't get to see the Cowboys for the third straight year. Put an ad in the GBPG or the JS saying you want to trade your Cowboy tickets for another game. You'll get hundreds of takers I'm guessing and might even be able to finagle some better seats out of it.

Things can change but right now Weeks 6-9 look brutal.
Sun., Oct. 17 Miami Dolphins 12:00 p.m. CBS
Sun., Oct. 24 Minnesota Vikings 7:20 p.m. NBC
Sun., Oct. 31 @ New York Jets 12:00 p.m. FOX
Sun., Nov. 7 Dallas Cowboys (Gold Pkg.) 7:20 p.m. NBC

Miami will be a tough physical game, Minnesota games always seem to beat us up, the Jets are a physical blitzing team and the Cowboys are another very tough game as well. Four tough physical opponents in a row...we're going to need that bye badly at the end of that stretch.

Then after the bye:
Sun., Nov. 21 @ Minnesota Vikings *12:00 p.m. FOX
Sun., Nov. 28 @ Atlanta Falcons *12:00 p.m. FOX
Sun., Dec. 5 San Francisco 49ers *12:00 p.m. FOX

Again three pretty tough games with @ MN leading the way...again we always seem to get nicked up in those damn MN games.

Then an "off week" against the Lions and then another tough stretch to close out the season:
Sun., Dec. 19 @ New England Patriots *7:20 p.m. NBC
Sun., Dec. 26 New York Giants *3:15 p.m. FOX
Sun., Jan. 2 Chicago Bears *12:00 p.m. FOX

NE and the Giants are usually always tough and then a close out game against the Bears who we always seem to play close.

This schedule has its advantages and disadvantages. Its certainly no cakewalk and getting off to a fast start is IMO going to be very important for building confidence and getting this team rolling.

The good thing that stands out is that 6 of those 10 tough games are at home including 3 of 4 before the bye and 2 of the final three at home. Though it could well be argued that late season home games hurt our offensive capability because we are more of a "finess" offense.

It seems to me that the Packers spend the first 4 or so games figuring out who they really are. Then, they finally stabilize. I agree with PRC and hope that by the first Lions game, the Pack have figured themselves out because if they haven't, the season may be lost. But if they have figured themselves out by the first Lions game, then this season could be amazingly exciting.

Aaron-couldn't you use your influence (you know, that influence that got you to the Combine with credentials) to get Favre in GB in December? I guess we'll just have to get him there in January

Don't worry he'll pull it out the same way he did at the combine (one day or so later, he got his credentials).

Tomorrow there will be a public statement from the league, in which says "There was a slight error in weeks 11 and 14 on the Vikings schedule, we are interchanging those two dates as that was our intended purpose."

Of course none of that will happen and i think I'm after two years at a stage in which i really don't care what Favre does... and it feels awesome :)

I actually like where we are playing the vikings, in the middle of the season, when we should be playing our best football.

Win or loose we have a number of games to recover and forget. Because of grandpa over there those games are more than just games, there is an emotional element that can lead to a hangover.

For key players and coaches of the Packers, there is a little more emotion which can lead to stress

Have the Jets tickets been disbursed yet? I saw that this site has sales for tickets to the Packers-Jets game, which I haven't seen anywhere else.

I saw that the website says that all sales are final, how can I ensure that the tickets I would buy from that website are going to be authentic? I know Stubhub at least ensures that the tickets are authentic.

Like with all first looks at the schedule for the year, we try to analyze the patterns for their ease or difficulty. I don't know about the rest of you, but I invariably look at the games and make my judgements on history. When the season is over I go back and see how good I was. At best I'm about 50%. The teams I thought were bad are good and the sure things turned to crap. So this year, I'm pulling an MM - "One Game at a Time."

It's impossible at this point to gauge the talent level of the teams on the schedule. It's also impossible to gauge the talent level of the Packers. Last season gives us rough ideas, sure, but a team could make a trade for or draft a superstar in the coming weeks and completely change their talent level and attitude. Teams that saw the Packers on their 2009 schedule probably counted it as a win. And I sure as heck don't think the Lions are going to be "automatic" anymore. They have a smart head coach and a seemingly competent GM now. They're gonna sneak up on some people. And yes, I realize this is rambling and incoherent.
