Hard to have Jennings in the Ugly category. He did have nearly 100 yards receiving. But the drops were mind-blowing.

Bad, not Ugly. He had three brutal drops. He then played up to his ability. In my mind, its not enough.

James Jones deserved to be in the bad. If memory serves driver made a few clutch receptions.

He did indeed - but that fumble was horrible. And in a single score game could have been the difference in going to the playoffs and staying home.

Agreed ZeroTolerance, Jennings with the drops was absolutely jaw dropping. The only reason I would put him at the top of the Bad category rather than the bottom is the two big catches that set up scores. Without those catches, we don't go to the playoffs.

Yea, agree. James Jones was BAD again vs. the Bears. One lousy catch for 8 yards and a drop. Non-factoring himself right off this team next year.

Green Bay...I think we have a punter, and his name if Masthay!

i dunno what kind of game you expect WR to play.. but a lot of wideouts have games where they dont get a lot of looks especially the 3rd wideout on the depth chart if u wanna call him that cause i think nelson is our real 3rd.. so i mean yeah.. jones has had a good year stat wise.. hes not our number 1 or number 2 WR so.. chillll

QB1 needs to have a better game - yeah, the WRs were dropping the ball, but many of those drops were a result of passes just a bit behind each guy. That makes a big difference. Hard to RAC if you're always having to stop your forward momentum to come back for the ball.

You can't put Rodgers in the bad for one stupid play to Jackson where the ball hit him in the hands. Without receiver drops we wouldve won by 14-17 points. Rodgers was decent definitely not bad. How bout Mccarthey in bad for not using starks who is by far our best runner?

Only runner with a burst. If he keeps using Jackson on 1st down it will be a long day in Philly.

Uhh, Rodgers missed wide open guys for what would have been several death blows! At least 2 times he overthrew Jennings and of course the botched pass to BJax which would have been an easy TD.

We were at the game and I would like to put the drunk guy in section 127, row 12, seat 11 (?) wearing the Woodson jersey, in my personal Ugly category. The jerk spent most of the game standing on the empty bleacher seat in front of him, thereby blocking the view of about a dozen fans behind him. May a drunk, angry, weapon-toting Bears fan meet you in a dark dead-end alley tonight.

what is with people and the harsh feelings about james jones... do you all need someone to hate taht badly... he is our number 3/4 WR.. most teams dont have talent like that that deep on their depth chart.. no one ever said jones was going to be our number 1 WR one day.. he has scored quite a few TDs.. i know he takes plays off sometimes and yeah its annoying.. but he isnt our number one... so i dont understnad why everyone hates the guy.. and if jennings nd driver fumble or drop a few passes its UGLY UGLY.. wideouts drop balls it happens... yea jennings had big drops but there is really nothing you can do about it i dont know very many WRs that dont drop passes sometimes... defense played great today all of them did excellent walden showed he was a rookie his side was torn up in the running game because he didnt get outside containment but he had a good game.. offensively starks showed some spark rodgers didnt really play bad he made a lot of good looks nd put the ball in good spots he overthrew a few balls but overall i was happy with his play.. nd bush did great on special teams too

I think some folks are just frustrated with JJ - it's clear he has great potential but his play is so inconsistent. There's been more than one occasion where he should have tried harder (stretched out, jumped, etc), so I think level of effort factors in, too.

Great potential but inconsistent play sort of sums up the entire offense this season, though. Let's hope they get everything together for the Eagles!

Probably doesn't help that we're all used to seeing DD lay out to get the catch, extra yard, etc. for 10 years. He's kind of ruined us for all of the future WR's.

JJ really is WR2 don't you think? I mean DD is still a great go-to guy, but JJ has the big play potential you need from a WR2. That's what frustrates everybody...he's got mad potential but seems to be a mental error waiting to happen. Tell me you don't hold your breath hoping he doesn't fumble every time the ball comes his way!

Sort of surprised, Aaron, that Rodgers received a "bad" grade. Thought he played a similar game to the '09 Dallas outing.

Erik Walden was a force other than the few times he gave up the corner containment and got trapped inside. At some point I think we need to point out what a stud Kevin Green must be. I loved his play (and especially his comments before the NFC championship game vs. Carolina in the Super Bowl video). He is doing an amazing job making our backers so solid no matter who's in there. I give him the credit because he's even got Hawk playing at a very high level, which no one else has been able to do. I'm actually hoping we can keep Hawk after this year where I used to think he was easily replaceable. Green is unsung and is putting his stamp on the defense almost as much as Capers.

Winston Moss. His name's been mentioned annually for a few years now when NFL assistant job's or collegiate coaching jobs are available. Very well respected, will be getting some 'Rooney Rule' interviews for the time being but may be a coordinator in the NFL within a few years, perhaps an NCAA coach.

Did anyone else notice that on at least 2 of the false start penalties against Bulaga, that they were precipitated by the D-line jumping. But both times they were called false starts rather than neutral zone infractions.

IMHO, 2 of those penalties Bulaga didn't deserve.

You may be right, but I don't think the focus should be on whether his penalties were deserved or un-deserved. He's just pressing so hard and playing so tight. He's doing silly little things like bending at the waist and reaching instead of knee bending and punching.

Kids a damn good athlete for a tackle, and historically a good technician. Game tape and his own competitiveness have gotten in his head. He's simply pressing too much and not playing at all loose. I have no idea how coaches reel him back in.

Again, I'm far from panicking, but his technique and poise is so much better than this.

J Bush - The Good. That punt catch inside the 5 was monumental. And he was a BIG part of Hester not doing any special teams damage. Plus, I just want to have some good conversation about the guy for a change!

McCarthy in the Bad for his :
1)play calling. Sure he had a few, but you can't keep calling long developing routes. AR was luckly he wasn't sacked more.
2)Not using Starks more. Play action only works when D has to respect the run. B-Jax doesn't get that respect.
3)Goal line. B-Jax or Kuhn in a bunch formation when 11 defenders are waiting DOES NOT WORK.

I believe 2 changes should be closely considered going into the Eagles game, is Bulaga > Lang at this point and time?

Second I believe Starks is worth the risk making him your guy in the playoffs, he is by far the best runner we have and you just have to pray his fundamentals are strong enough. Your mind set needs to change when in playoffs, law of averages work to get to 10-6, certain risks will beat out the law of averages in a single elimination tournament.

Rodgers made it clear in his interview, if you want me in the bad catagory next game, make me your leading rusher again.

Even if Lang is better than Bulaga (who knows?), I think that ship has sailed. It just feels way to late in the season to run an experiment at RT. Bulaga was ugly in that game, but to be fair, it was his worst game and the Bears defensive front is no joke. He needs to settle down and focus on fundamentals this week and I think he has a good chance of bouncing back.

Re: Starks. This has to be done. B-Jax's running on early downs is just not getting it done. We need to get 4-6 yards on first down runs, not 0-2. The only risk is ball security. Otherwise, its not like we are risking giving up any production that we have been getting.

I would throw Brandon Jackson into the "bad" group over Aaron Rodgers. To ARodgers defense he did have quite a few catch-able balls either dropped or have the intended receiver not give 100% effort in making a play for it. In retrospect, Brandon "Bust" Jackson had 7 rushes for a miserable 19 yards, and had a crucial drop down on the goal line, which despite the questionable call, could have easily gone in for a touchdown (instead of a field goal that ended up nearly costing us the game). Rodgers can only do so much, that is why he supposedly has play makers around him to make plays. In my conclusion, I only ask the Great A.Nagler to re-think the "Bad".

MM in the bad but at least not the ugly this week. Finally after at least 8 or 9 first and goal on the one or two yd line he calls a fake up the middle and throw to wide open tight end. That play has been called a hundred other times by other teams in that situation and seems to always work. At least the Eagles will have to think about that call next week if we are in goal line situation again.Agree with using Starks more and scale back the five wide sets and use what worked against the Pats and Giants. Rogers was getting killed in open backfield set. Finally in third and short go for the first down not a play 15-20 yds downfield!!

(In regards to Brandon Jackson dropping goal line touchdown):

Hey ANagler, all I'm saying is that if the ball hits a player in the hands, then theirs no excuse not to catch it. I'll admit that yes, the throw from ARodgers could have been a lot better, but it "did" hit BJackson square in the hands. And from what I was taught threw high school and college is that there's no excuse not to make a catch if you gets your hands on it. Totally inexcusable, it could have cost us the game. Just another example as to how we can't count on BJackson to help in this run through the playoffs...we've seen glances of the potential thats Starks has; and we've seen The Great Kuhn be a difference maker. But the proof on BJackson being a 2nd round bust is officially there.
