MLF came up with this brilliant idea that #28 is not #33. Really? You mean you might have to use him differently?

It's absolutely sickening to see not only coaching staff but a HC miss things that I can see plainly from at least a season ago. On a positive note if MLF actually makes an adjustment in week 3 that will be at least twice as fast as anything we've seen out of him yet. That's nowhere near an in-game adjustment. That would be like a TE running an 8 second 40 yard dash, they're just not likely to ever be effective.

Speaking of which, yes Sims and Musgrave in at the same time needs to be tried. When is the best time to do that I'm more patient with. It could be a strategic decision to not do that yet, just to save some surprises for later in the season. I'd at least like to think MLF is an offensive mind, good at scheming people open. Even though that idea seems to be fading. Certainly targeting Musgrave more is an obvious need, although it's possible he just wasn't open and would have been targeted more had he gotten open; there's an occasion for valuable film study.

It may be time to question and even test the idea that you don't want our biggest guys on the interior O line. Bakh is clearly dominant when he's in, and he and Zach Tom are our smallest O linemen and are both great at OT. To keep them there means we've got to play bigger guys on the interior, the ability to see over them and winning the lowest pad level battle be damned. I still say RT is not Tom's best position, C is. He just hasn't been used there in Green Bay. Maybe Nijman needs to play more to be good? He's been a beast, I don't want to believe his ability has dropped off. What are our coaches doing wrong that so many players are regressing?

The O line remains the most important puzzle to solve, and #28 can't be evaluated properly while this question remains. Obviously #31 Wilson needs more touches while this dilemma remains. And we have to figure #33 will be on a lower pitch count when he comes back.

The key to our passing game is having a running game that's at least a viable threat opponents have to defend. Without that we're *cough* hamstringing our receivers.

It's good to see the WR room take shape, and I agree Wicks seems to have made himself #4. But that's based on what more than one play? Toure DuBose Heath and Melton can still play, even if keeping them in reserve for now is the best idea.
