LOL.

20,915 CHTV downvotes at the moment, and counting.

I believe I see a trend...

And 5000 were from MM and Now Rodgers.
Not to mention another 5000 on draft opinions.
Some people are only here for those upvotes.
Thats all they care about.

"History shows I'm more right than wrong."

Prove it, because I don't think that is in any way true. It's certainly not true with your Gutey and AR obsession, mainly because Gutey isn't responsible for any of the things you think he's responsible for.

Note that draft opinions can never be said to be measurable unless a player is cut before his contract is fulfilled - at that point, he's a bust/wasted pick - or is re-signed or extended - at which point he's a good draft choice. Most fall in the "meh" category (allowed to walk or put on the practice squad). Sternberger would qualify as a wasted pick and Alexander a good pick with that logic, which I believe all of us would agree with. The round in which the player was taken plays into how much a pick was wasted but doesn't play into how good a pick it was. A failed R7 pick is really not a big deal while, obviously, a failed R1 pick is a huge error.

Saying something like "We should've taken Tee Higgins instead of Jordan Love!" (which at least one guy here keeps doing - not you IIRC) is replaying the draft with 20/20 hindsight and so is not a valid argument. Anyone can find fault with pretty much any draft choice doing that. Vikings fans can always say "We should've taken Aaron Rodgers instead of Erasmus James!" Yes they should have, but so what? Doing this is just a waste of time, frankly.

For another example, how many posters kept saying "Gary is a Bust!" for two years when he was not, in fact, a bust? At least 10-12 guys. These same guys now say that Gary was a good draft choice. Again, opinions on bust/boom picks vary over time.

I am reminded of Gullivers Travels so strongly by this thread.

“[f]or they have no conception how a rational creature can be compelled, but only advised, or exhorted; because no person can disobey reason, without giving up his claim to be a rational creature.”

Since its still sounding like fewer picks coming back in this trade scenario, It makes so much sense to ask the Jets for some players they have said they are ready to move on from especially if they are positions of need for the Packers. Whether or not we can trade Bahktiari to the Jets, but especially if we are, we should ask them for Mehki Becton because it sounds like they are ready to move on from him. I think its too early for them to give up on him but if they are idiots take advantage and snag him. He was not drafted by the current staff and neither was WR Denzel Mims. Mims has fallen on their depth chart and only got 25 targets last year. How could any receiver survive with no decent QB throwing to them. Zach Wilson has not set the passing world on fire hence the Aaron Rodgers pursuit.
Its the same scenario with Elijah Moore. He wants out and we should ask for him too. He becomes our best slot receiver on day one. Mims just needs an opportunity. The Packers really wanted him in the 2020 draft. He is still 6'3 220 lbs and runs 4.4. the Jets have talked about parting ways with him for 2 years now.
3 guys who could make our roster with star potential. Might be the only way to make this trade more in our favor and all it costs them along with the picks is 3 players they are ready to move on from.
We should still trade Bahk and would probably get a 1st round pick back. He would have lots of interest.

What golfpacker1 says...the only issue I have perhaps is Becton since there are so many TEs in this draft.

In an interview with Adriana Torres of WBAY today, Mark Murphy suggested the team would be open to Rodgers’ return “if things don’t work out the way we want them.”

Odd thing to say if it hasn’t already been said to Rodgers directly. Certainly I would think he is owed that. Any old media contract language still to hand Mr. Murphy?

This is something you'd say to keep your trading partner from thinking they can go total lowball.
