They should not focus on replacing Davante Adams. It won't get done. He's the best in the league. They should worry about upgrading the pass catching group as a whole. That includes upgrading both WR and TE room. Tear is all out, down to the roots and start over. Don't worry about doing it all at once, it won't happen.

They just need to stop neglecting the spot because they have a HoF QB that can paper over the weakness in the regular season. For one, he won't be around forever. If/when Love (or whoever else) replaces him, the QB papering over the weakness is gone. Second, the playoffs are a different animal than the regular season. It is beyond obvious that Rodgers cannot paper over the weak WR group in the playoffs.

I'm glad the temptation to re-sign ESB is gone. Thanks, Bears! I would love to see MVS and Tonyan get the same big payday,...somewhere else. And please, please, someone sign Lazard to give the Packers another #2. All that might lead to a temporary step backwards. I don't care. As a group, we've seen those guys are not good enough. Trying them again and expecting a different result is not the answer.

There are a hell of a lot of guys in the draft that can move in and be good receivers, my problem I dont want a miopic Rodgers thinking he can make that newbie his next go to guy.
Time Rodgers started developing ALL THE F-ing receivers.
I know it takes time to look the field over and he doesnt want to be placed in the turf again but thats football. Man up pal and lets win some playoff games.

The Packers are facing a complete rebuild of the receiving corps now and they're starting from behind due to the accumulation of misses that they've had in this area of the team for the past several years.
When it comes to receivers and tight ends Gutey has flailed. He picked 3 in his first draft in 2018 that were supposed to be the next generation by now. Depending on what happens with MVS, that's all on the verge of being a wash-out now. He also drafted te Jace Sternberger.
He's lucky he could pluck Lazard and Tonyan off other clubs' practice squads; but Tonyan now has the knee issue.
He may well have taken Justin Jefferson or Brandon Aiyuk if they had been on the board in 2020. But he passed on Tee Higgins (Bengals 74 rec/1091 yds/ 14.7ypc), Laviska Shenault (Jaguars 63 rec. 10.1ypc,) Chase Claypool (Steelers 59/860/ over 14 ypc,) and Van Jefferson (Rams 50/802/16 ypc) who were all still there when he picked Jordan Love.
While we wait to see whether the Love pick ever pans out we maybe should be hoping that Amari Rodgers can show in year two like he did in his college days catching passes from Trevor Lawrence. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jYEwDLOEHDw

This has been my only complaint on Gutey. Though I am impressed with his FA signings not so much with the draft picks. I believe our scouts were better at finding good cb's and oline and than finding some good Wr's and TE's.
Anyhow will see how this draft goes if we could sign a FA like Brandin cooks from houston and with all the draft picks we have i believe this team will be well rounded than before.
Go Pack Go.
