One Tweet At A Time

Apparently that’s how we’ll be getting our Kampman updates during OTAs, by none other than fellow linebacker Nick Barnett. I have no doubt many will sieze on this:
Still has things to work like everyone else but so far pretty good.Â
I’m sure that this statement will send some into a panic, but Barnett is right. Everyone has things to work on when it’s June 2nd. I find it pretty interesting that Barnett chose to single Kampman out after his Tweets about the defense in general and the D-line as a group. Of course Barnett knows the drama playing out in the press and with the fans regarding Kampman’s silence. Should make for an interesting scene over the course of OTAs if Kampman continues his Monk-like existence when it comes to the media. We’ll get our next blast of Kampman coverage/non-coverage tomorrow as Wednesday is the only practice this week open to the media (and fans if the weather holds.)

It’s Barnett being a captain. It’s his way of telling everybody to get off Kampman’s back.
please explain, “many will sieze on this”? As in, go into a siezure?

I like what he had say about the d-line. Their play will determine how much success this new defense will have. Well, in the front seven at least. Along with the linebackers that is…
I gotta believe, (or hope I guess) that MM is aware of this and is filtering or even manipulating these tweets. If not MM then some assistant. I don’t think any substantial info will come from this. Generic encouraging statements, thats all.
So let me get this straight. You would rather Barnett be negative then positive.
Not at all. Just pointing out that info on Kampman is at a premium and as of now, the only person giving us any is another member of the team. I find that fascinating.
Graffin – I can assure you that McCarthy has spoken to Barnett about Twitter after the JS story about his Twittering ran earlier this spring. But I’m sure each individual Tweet is not being vetted.
I got it one Tweet at a time, and it didn’t cost me a dime.
