Note To Bob Sanders: Their TE Is Pretty Good

Every week it seems the Packers face a top flight tight end, and this week is no exception as they take on Tony Gonzalez, one of the greatest ever at the position. After watching Antonio Gates and Chris Cooley tear up our defense in the first half of each of their games, here’s hoping Bob Sanders has learned his lesson and comes out in the FIRST HALF with a corner and a safety over Gonzalez at all times. I recognize that Dwayne Bowe is an improving talent at wide receiver, but that is why you have Charles Woodson. Gonzalez should see Harris and Collins over him the entire game.

(The game against Washington was especially galling on this front – all week leading up to the game, everyone in footballdom knew the only weapon the Redskins had in the passing game was Cooley, yet Sanders chose to let his linebackers try to cover him, which was, predictably, a disaster. After halftime, Sanders chose to use a corner and a safety over Cooley and basically shut him down. Please, Bob, let’s not fool around on Sunday, ok?)
