No Update on Eddie Lacy's Concussion
Green Bay Packers head coach held his typical day-after-game press conference on Monday, but had nothing to offer on the status of rookie running back Eddie Lacy and the concussion he suffered against the Washington Redskins.
"We'll have an update for you on Wednesday," said McCarthy.
Lacy sustained his concussion in first quarter of Sunday's game on a helmet-to-helmet hit from safety Brandon Merriweather after his only carry of the game, a 10-yard gain.
McCarthy added that he had not seen Lacy since after the game on Sunday but that he looked good.

Absolutely zero reason to play him before the bye. Negligible reward for a lot of risk if you rush him back. Let him get back to 100% and let Neo carry the load.

I agree with you 100% no need at all, they have this covered.

In many cases they clear them that Friday after the first one. While I agree it's best to keep him out, the doctors will tells us Friday when he go's through the final tests. I wonder how hard it would be for a RBto get used to the helmet Rodgers uses. It should be a rule that they all wear them if there that much safer.

Helmets don't stop concussions, no matter what you've been told.

True, buy the helmet Rodgers wears is designed TO REDUCE the chance of a concussion. Players don't like it as much because its a tad bigger and heavier. It's also been tested and tests show, there's a better chance with a regular helmet than the one Rodgers wears. Those are facts, not what if been told,

Nope, doesn't even reduce them:
