What are those formations, and what the hell is a “tele”?

BTW, Aaron, what happened with that section of the site where it showed the last posts???

  2. yes says:

It’s the formation that MM used at the beginning of the year when Barbre was basically a turnstile.

    And it’s tally.

      Thanks for clarifying.

So… the last time that expression was used was when we had 4 guys in the backfield?

ahoy i remember this game, we totally kicked some 40′s butt…lol…

    And here’s the real question:

When we play with our retro uniform, will the broadcasters call it a “tally” when we score???

I was in attendance. We were celebrating my 57th B-day, it was great fun.

This was the year the Chicago Cardinals and Pittsburgh Steelers merged because of the war. They were known as Card-Pitt. They went 0-10 and played the Packers twice.

Thanks for posting this Aaron. Its great to see the greatest Packer ever on old films.

Even I can’t remember this one. I was only 4 that year. Any GB Championship is a good Championship game. More please!

    Very cool!

They looked really synchronized getting in position and setting for that brief instant before the snap. I’ve never seen footage from that era before. Thanks for posting, Aaron!
