Is that why Neal was playing late? I noticed him (Neal) when he blew contain on Kendall Hunter's big run late. I had Erik Walden flashbacks. It wasn't fun.
I hope Perry is ok. I was really happy with the DL and the perimeter defense yesterday. I think it gives them something to build on, while they fix the middle of their pass defense.

Perry was in the game on that play, he got blocked.

I thought Perry was excellent crashing down on the backside, a few times he had to power his way through, stopping the RB for a short gain.
It was also obvious that he was playing contain on most passing plays...that was not the extent of his ability as a pass rusher. It's a pretty good chance he'll be doing the same this week.

Time for Perry to show his stuff. Time to earn the number one money. Time to become the second coming of Mathews.
I have him as bust city until he starts making takles and getting sacks.

Typical rush to judgement...stick to insurance.

I think he takes his name from the commercial. You know, the guy wearing the khakis? Kind of like I didn't actually pitch for the Oakland Athletics.

Where's Cow? We need him to tell us that Perry will miss 8 weeks.

Does it matter? Guy's a complete non factor. Better than Walden I guess.

Matthews still looks like only true pass rusher on the team. That's not a good thing. Nine years as GM and TT has given us one pass rusher. Perhaps the fault lies there. Ditto the OLine. Nine years and he still has not found a dominant OLineman.

All
i want is to hear our first rounders names called...Jones, Perry... Is that too muchcto ask?

Agreed. I sure saw SF's 1st round pick making an impact on Sunday.

No its not. Maybe Sunday

I think its time to switch gears to focusing on 1st and 2nd rounders instead of trying to find gems to develop from later rounds. With all the safeties in this last draft and seeing Reid play was hard to take, he did not look lost and could hit, Guess its time for a FA or trade.

He also missed at least two tackles that went for first downs. He'll likely improve, but so will our guys.

Like I said ...fly up to Buffalo n bring back a Byrd .

Yea, let's trade for the guy who is currently injured and also wants to be a top paid safety.
(Not saying it wouldn't be awesome, though.)

Perry--Just a guy!
Decent at run D, NOT so at pass rush!
Heading towards 1st rd. bust.
D. Jones has a big motor, switch positions
w/ Perry might be a better option!

You gave him 6 whole games to write him off. Generous.

I give Perry some edge in that he is asked to play a position he didn't play in college. However, its been a long time coming and injury or not, he is supposed to have been a top prospect and I haven't seen first round pick play from him yet.
Maybe its a first step thing? Maybe he just doesn't as they say get out of the blocks quick.
