Nick Barnett Done For the Year
By PackerAaron
Mike McCarthy confirmed that Nick Barnett is done for the season at his afternoon press conference. When asked about replacing him, McCarthy stated:
Well, that's what we're talking about. We talked about it as a defensive staff this morning, the potentials. Obviously, Desmond Bishop. A.J. Hawk, and Brandon Chillar also factors into that, too, so we'll probably make that call tomorrow.

No loss there. The defense will be playing with 11 instead of the 10 when Barnett is in. I've been on the AJ bandwagon for weeks. This is the time. The Bears are next and we need to see a GB team who honors the rivalry for a change. Lovie Smith has just plain whooped MM for the last 3 years. Unacceptable!

It really is amazing if you think about it. Last year the D line was supposed to be oh so deep that we traded away CW in the off season. Then we lose Harrell, then Cullen J. and all of a sudden we're barren (fortunately Harrell is back). This year everyone is a little surprised we kept so many LBs, but AJ gets hurt, then Barnett, and now apparently Bishop and Chillar are dinged too. Just goes to show how quickly things can change in the NFL

Well now we can all stop talking about how bad Barnett has been this year. He sealed his fate yesterday by playing so damn bad this year by getting injured.
