NFL Trade Deadline Passes with No Packers Action

There were two trades made in the NFL on Tuesday, but neither involving the Packers.

There were two trades consummated on the day of the NFL's trading deadline on Tuesday, but neither involved the Green Bay Packers.

Despite the need for perhpas an inside linebacker or a run-stuffing defensive lineman, the Packers stood pat.

Meanwhile, the 1-6 Tampa Bay Buccaneers appeared to be building for the future, as they were involved in both trades, acquiring draft picks in each.

In one trade, the Buccaneers traded safety Mark Barron—a first-round draft choice (seventh overall)—to the St. Louis Rams for fourth and sixth-round draft choices in 2015.

In the other trade, the Bucs traded linebacker Jonathan Casillas and a sixth-round draft choice to the New England Patriots in exchange for a fifth-round draft choice.

Terms of the trades were not disclosed on the NFL's transaction wire, but they were reported by Ira Kaufman of the Tampa Tribune.

I'd have liked to see TT maybe take a shot at Lance Kendricks, the TE for the Rams. He's like 3rd on the depth cart, wouldn't break the bank, and better than every TE we have. I mean how much longer should the Packers wait on Bostick?
