NFL To Kick Off '12 Season Wednesday, September 5th

I've been waiting all day for...Wednesday night?

From the NFL:

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
2/28/12

NFL KICKOFF GAME TO BE PLAYED ON WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 5

The 2012 season-opening NFL Kickoff game will be played on Wednesday, September 5 (NBC, 8:30 PM ET), Commissioner ROGER GOODELL announced today.

The game will be played on Wednesday to avoid a conflict with President Barack Obama's Thursday night speech at the Democratic National Convention.

The Super Bowl XLVI-champion New York Giants will host the season-opener at MetLife Stadium. NBC will televise the game at 8:30 PM ET and NFL Kickoff 2012 beginning at 7:30 PM ET.

As we've discussed before, there's a good chance this game will pit the Packers against the World Champion New York Giants...

Stay tuned.

Of all the Thurdays in August and September these morons go out of their way to interfere with the largest fan base anticipation of the only pure happiness afforded us...and they step on that also.
Can this Government do or get anything right?Do they think at all much less once before they act?Seriously, one if not the biggest fan base and largest watched show is Opening Day next to the Super Bowl and they pick that night to tell us that Obama is their guy....well frigging duh.
I hope I can act like I was just born so it WILL BE NEWS!!!

MAKE IT FRIDAY...THAT WAY WE HAVE SOMETHING TO LOOK FORWARD TO. WITH ALL OF THE EXCITEMENT OF WHAT HE IS GOING TO CAUSE DURING HIS STIRRING SPEECH, WE WOULD SURLY BE CALMED DOWN BY THEN. THEN WE COULD HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO SEE A REMATCH OF THE GAME WE SHOULD HAVE WON!

They'll never do it on Friday because of high school football.

Friday would be fine with me.

As per Chuck, the Giants also play the Saints and 49ers. I kinda hope they don't get the game. Let someone else have the spotlight.

Niners are a road game for the giants. Would have to be the Pack or Saints.

A game between the last two Super Bowl Champions would be a repeat of last year's opening game. let's do it. I'll be there.
