NFL, Players Sign 10 Year CBA
The league and the former players union agreed to a new Collective Bargaining Agreement that will ensure labor peace for the next decade.

Roger Goodell, DeMaurice Smith and a whole host of owners and players stood in front of the National Football League Players Association headquarters a little while ago and delieved a very simple message.
Football is back.
Both Goodell and Smith, along with their deputies, have officially signed off on a 10 year collective bargaining agreement that ensures labor peace in the countries most popular sport for the next decade. Despite a last minute push by the players, there is no opt-out ability for either side in the deal. The lone formality that remains is for all NFL players to recertify their union and agree to the terms of the agreement - this should be completed in the next few days.
All 32 NFL teams will report to training camp sometime this week and all pre- and regular season games, save for the previously canceled Hall of Fame Game, will be played as scheduled.
Today is a great day for football fans everywhere.

Perhaps now all the talk of who it was that started this, the millionaires vs billionaires thing, selfish players/owners, greedy players/owners, egos run wild, etc etc etc ad nauseam, will now die away.
These negotiations are usually painful and tend to not get done until time-pressures (and loss of revenue) bite. Forget blame, now is the time we can start to enjoy the manic trading/signing/training camp.
YEAH !!!!!!!!

All right, all right. It's time for me to end my hatred for both the players and the owners.
They're now both awesome! Equally, of course.
