Wow dude, I didn’t know you could be so confident! I love it man, totally agree with your assessment of pretty much everything you talked about, especially the playoffs and potential matchups. It’s like you said, this team isn’t perfect but the good far outweighs the bad. I look at it like this, our best is better than their best (whoever “they” are, doesn’t matter), if we bring our A game everything is just a formality.
GBP 4 LIFE
I GOT THE MOVES LIKE NAGLER…
Saints are roadblock to another Super Bowl, let’s hope Brees throws up some ducks in the Lambeau cold.
A-freaking-MEN!
Packers vs Saints:
Saints’ D:
26th in yards allowed
32nd in forced turnovers
15th in points allowed
23rd in opposite QB rating
Packers’ D:
31st in yards allowed
1st in forced turnovers
12nd in points allowed
8th in opposite QB rating
Saints’ O:
1st in yards
2nd in points
2nd in QB rating
3rd in giveaways
Packers’ O:
3rd in yards
1st in points
1st in QB rating
2nd in giveaways
So, it’s a very similar team, except they don’t take the ball away at all, and we take the ball away all the time, and the game will be played at Lambeau (actually it’s not a very similar team because Rodgers is 20 points better than Brees in QB rating, but that has been explained).
But the Saints! ZOMG THE SAINTS ARE GONNA DESTROY THE PACKERS!!!11
And I’m not gonna dignify Alex Smith and his 29th ranked passing offense (yardage) with a comparison. Their D is the best in the league, but they’re trully great against the run.
They’re 6th in opposite QB rating with 75.1 (playing the NFC West). We’re 8th with 78.3. You do the math and see how that figures when one defense faces Alex Smith and the other Aaron Rodgers.
Another stat: redzone efficiency (playing at Lambeau, calculated as home efficiency for GB and away efficiency for SF and NO):
O:
GB – 1st
NO – 24th (yep, NO is the 24th best RZ offense when playing outside their dome)
SF – 30th
D:
GB – 7th
SF – 9th
NO – 31st
Another thing.
Woodson will get his jersey retired. So will Rodgers. If we get another pass rusher, Matthews has a good chance. That’s what happens when you’re an integral part of a dynasty.
And nice intro.
