New Nike Uniforms Prompt April Fool's Day Joke by Crabtree
The Packers tight end used Nike's status as the NFL's new uniform provider to make a April 1 prank.
Reebok's contract as the NFL's official uniform provider expired on March 31, and it didn't take long for the league to begin selling Nike gear as the new official outfitter.
It also didn't take long for Packers tight end Tom Crabtree to make an April Fool's Day joke, capitalizing on the paranoia that Nike will harmfully change the Packers' historic image in the same vein as their Pro Combat uniforms for the University of Oregon and other college teams.
Not sure if I like the "G" being taken off our helmets on the new Nike uniforms. Maybe it'll grow on me.
