I couldn't have said it better myself, Aaron. Well put -- "Get it together, Mike."

I raised the point in response to a different article on Jersey Al's: The Packers' offense has not been the same since January 8, 2012, when Michael Philbin went missing and was later found dead. From the beginning of the 2009 season, when they first made the playoffs in the Rodgers era, until that day, the Pack had a 75% win percentage. Starting with the loss to the Giants in the playoffs until now, the percentage is 55%, and the offense has never been as dominant.

I believe the loss of Joe Philbin has profoundly affected McCarthy's ability to coach the team. It's not that I believe McCarthy is a bad coach per se; on the contrary, the way he rallied the team and kept them playing hard at the end of the 2010 season to make the playoffs, and even through Rodgers' injury last season, is a sign of the power he holds to motivate the players, and that is one very important quality in a head coach.

But his ability to run the offense since losing Philbin is really questionable. Execution always trumps play calling, as we all know, but the execution remains a continual problem. His teams continually start the season badly and have to play catch up. The play calling remains questionable. He doesn't seem to be able to motivate Rodgers to change bad habits. Poor in-game management decisions and lack of ability to adjust are undeniable. Let's call it what it is: right now, as things currently stand, McCarthy is a bad head coach.

Would Philbin being fired by the 'Phins and returning to GB help change all this? I don't know. And we are only 3 games in, there is a lot of season left and 11-5 or 10-6 is still possible if adjustments are made.

Problem is, right now I sense no acknowledgement whatsoever from McCarthy (or Thompson or Murphy) that the ship needs righting. I have little faith in improvement right now, and in my gut I fear a 8-8 season and missing the playoffs. It's the first time since about 2008 that I've felt that way, and frankly, it scares me for the future.

MM has become an egostistical inadequate coach and should be replaced with someone who can help great players maximize their talents.

We also need a ST coach who gets consistently good results.

If I was TT I would want to know if Darrell Bevell was interested before I reuped McCarthy.

You can blame MM all you want. This team has had a couple of crappy drafts and it shows. TT is a bigger problem then MM. Always wants to resign players we have on roster when some of them suck. I know I will get trashed for saying that but by seasons end more people will fell that way.

I'm not blaming anyone. The segment is about Mike McCarthy - not anything else.

I think MM could make any draft look "crappy". Listen to how he talks about his players. This week he through Lacey under the bus. He is not a good leader. He acts and sounds like he is above reproach. It's him and Slocum who should be under the bus.

Just for fun I went back and looked a TT's signings of note to see what that list looks like.

July 26, 2014 Signed WR Jordy Nelson to a contract extension.
April 22, 2014 Re-signed QB Matt Flynn.
April 3, 2014 Re-signed FB John Kuhn to a one-year contract.
March 19, 2014 Re-signed RB James Starks.
March 18, 2014 Signed DT Letroy Guion.
March 18, 2014 Signed DE Julius Peppers.
March 18, 2014 Re-signed DT B.J. Raji.
March 13, 2014 Re-signed LB/DE Mike Neal and TE Andrew Quarless.
March 10, 2014 Re-signed CB Sam Shields.
September 2, 2013 Signed QB Seneca Wallace.
July 19, 2013 Signed S Morgan Burnett to a contract extension.
April 26, 2013 Signed QB Aaron Rodgers to a contract extension.
April 17, 2013 Signed LB Clay Matthews to a five-year contract extension.
March 21, 2013 Re-signed LB Brad Jones.
August 15, 2012 Re-signed G T.J. Lang
August 12, 2012 Signed RB Cedric Benson.
April 23, 2012 Re-signed LB Erik Walden.
February 23, 2012 Re-signed TE Jermichael Finley.

So how many of those guys totally suck? Brad Jones sucks now but had played well at the end of 2011 and had an offer from the Jeff Fischer led Titans. Erik Walden was just a one year, he had 3 sacks vs the Bears in a must win game about 15 months earlier. Some unsophisticated fans hate Kuhn but I can show film that proves he definitely does not suck. Guion might suck, some writers at the DailyNorsemen think so but it's too early to say. TT overpaid Morgan Burnett but that doesn't mean he sucks.

So Seneca Wallace legitimately sucks, that's it, just him.

MM did a good job keeping Dom awake until the last drive by the Lions.

Aaron, I love the segment, but I don't totally agree with this week's points.

First, Zach's twitter pictures show Cobb running open on some Cover-2 beating routes, but Rodgers didn't look at him. Is that necessarily a scheme issue?

Second, I do think it's in MM's best interest to not discuss scheme with reporters. That's one area where real tactical advantage could be gained by him divulging, IMO.

everyone needs to relax, the offense will wake up, stop falling into mind traps that this COW person sets, some of you actually respond to him like he is a Packers fan, read into what he says then you might get it.

McCarthy is as stubborn as a Missouri mule. He IS a very good leader and coach...bad leaders/coaches don't wear Super Bowl rings IMHO. He needs to get it together.

Can "Get it together MIke" be made into a T-shirt?
