Matt Flynn Reported to Work Out for Packers on Monday

The Packers have been rumored to be bringing in Matt Flynn for a work out for several days, but Ed Werder is reporting that the work out will happen Monday.

The severity of Seneca Wallace's injury is unknown, but even so newly promoted Scott Tolzien is currently the only healthy quarterback on the Packers roster. Flynn is said to be suffering an elbow injury; the Packers will look to evaluate his elbow themselves per ESPN's Kevin Seifert.

Seifert further explains:

Even before Wallace's injury, the Packers were scheduled to have Matt Flynn in for a workout Monday, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Ed Werder. The Packers want to evaluate the health of the elbow on Flynn's passing arm.

McCarthy's staff has a positive history with Flynn and confidence in his knowledge of the team's offensive system. Flynn, who has played for the Seattle SeahawksOakland Raidersand Buffalo Bills since leaving the Packers in the 2012 offseason, passed for 480 yards and six touchdowns in his second start for the Packers in their 2011-12 regular-season finale. Both totals set team records.

Heard he has a groin injury too. So just what you want, a QB who can neither run nor throw.

Suppose he could hand off to Lacy/Starks 67 times though.

lol.. a groin huh? Nice!! I am so sick of this fucking Ed Werder reporting about Flynn. Bring the fucking guy in already and check out his damn elbow!!

I got scoffed at here by a few when I suggested that Matt Flynn could be suffering from a mild depression a month or so ago. Doc McKenzie, if you are out there and you are reading this( which I assume you are because I wrote it) please do a little check for this as well.

It is my professional opinion that Flynn is depressed from getting cut from three teams in the past two years after being projected to be their starter. That can take it's toll on any person.

I read just a day or so ago that a "source" in Oakland said Flynn was kind of lazy. A "9 to 5'er" type of guy who wasn't willing to put in the extra work that other qb's like Wilson do. Not sure if that's true but laziness and a "fuck it" attitude certainly could be a sign that he's depressed.

Theres something much deeper about Vince Young apparently. No one will touch him with a 10 foot pole. A mobile QB gives any team a good chance. He was in QB long enough to elvaluate.

Nothing too deep, he's just not smart enough to read a defense. That's it.

Haha VY....It's either Flynn or Tolz or Seneca that will be at qb the next few weeks. Why can't we just realize that? And also realize that unless there is some sort of miracle that takes place in that time ...we are not going to the post season.
