I heard a rumor that Brett Favre signed with the Vikings – It doesn’t matter because Aaron Rodgers is still the best QB in the division!

Face the facts Brett is over the hill and as a fan I hope he stay’s home where the chance of him getting hurt are less then playing football. He was great but that was back in his day. I for one will not pay to see an old man playing a young mans game. Heck he’s so old that if he would have had a son he could be playing on the same team with him.So just get over it and wish him well.
this is straight out of left field… i have no facts to back this up. But i’ve always kind of felt that the underlying problem Favre had was that he was scared of Aaron Rodgers. I think seeing him drafted and then seeing what he could do every single day in meetings and in practice really started to get to him.

- Favre wasn’t scared of anything on the field… but i think part of what drove him to all this madness of lies, half-truths and PR work was Favre feeling backed into a corner. Not by a defensive end but by “the end of his career”, as personified by Aaron Rodgers.
Pack66 – Favre can’t “kick my ass” – I don’t play for the Packers.
I also think Favre would have trouble throwing a punch with his shoulder / bicep in ruins. I loved him when he was with the Pack, but the fact that he wants to play for Minnesota just to spite one guy in the organization is ridiculous. He’s not taking into account all of the other people in the organization that treated him right and made him a star / gave him a chance. He’s pissed at TT, and acting like a wuss about it. He needs to man up, and admit he did wrong by retiring and then trying to sneak his way back in.
I think they are keeping the deal hush-hush so he can use steriods for rehab. Hey, he’s a viking now.

And bombdad’s theory could make some sense… That also could be the reason why he struggles later on the season. That and his elderly structure…
Being a Favre fan has left me homeless.I need to purchase my 3rd jersey in 3 years.My Packer jersy is too old,my Jets jersy was too cheap and only lasted a year before I had to release it.My Viking jersey only has to last till November or when the Packers/Vikings 2nd game is over.Please send your donations.Next year I’m thinking I need Bills jersey (to teach those Jets for releasing Brett) Better start saving now.

As for the Lombardi comparison, how simplistic and idiotic can you possibly get? Right – because Lombardi deciding GRACIOUSLY not to get back into coaching in Green Bay (unlike your hero Brett who waited until the last min and then expected everyone to move everything for him) and moving on to Washington, who wasn’t then and isn’t now in the Packers division, bears any resemblance whatsoever with the way Favre has lied and cried in the press about Thompson and the Packers. Thompson has taken the high road at every turn, including yesterday with ESPN. I pray to GOD Favre does go to the Vikings so the Packers can kick his ass.
It’s gonna be an interesting game though…isn’t it?

He RETIRED. Thompson and the Packers moved on. When he came back, the Pack said “No Thanks” and traded him. Where did I say I “own” the guy? In fact, I said I LIKE watching him play!

As for telling the truth, he could have saved us all a whole lot of time by being truthful after the Randy Moss deal fell through when he demanded a trade. Of course, he said he didn’t and that he could never play for any other team. What a crock of shit. Or when Sam Farmer of the LA Times reported LAST APRIL that Bus Cook had called the Vikings about Favre coming out of retirement and playing for them – a MONTH AFTER HE RETIRED – and Favre and Cook both lied about that too. I could go on and on. The guy is a great football player and he is full of shit.
I guess Favre thought that Thompson was a man of his word instead of an egotistical dickwad when he said he would try to get Moss, and talk to Mooch. Thompson never intended to do anything for Favre because he wanted him gone because he wanted the Packers to be seen as “his” team, not Favre’s….talk about full of shit, that would be Ted Thompson….
So finally, Favre got fed up and left, and Thompson still dicked him around and wouldn’t release, like the a**hole that he is, that he had to go to the Jets.
Now, I am going to laugh my ass off when Favre gets redemption against the Pack and Mr. 31-33, and shows you what idiots you were for following the loser, Ted Thompson and Aaron Rodgers…
