Josh Boyd, Sam Barrington New to Packers Injury Report

Because the Green Bay Packers face the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday, their first injury report was released on Monday, two days earlier than if they played the typical Sunday game.

Defensive lineman Josh Boyd and linebacker Sam Barrington were the new names added to last week's injury report.

Although the Packers did not practice on Monday, the participation reports are estimations:

  • DL Josh Boyd, knee, did not participate
  • LB Sam Barrington, knee, did not participate
  • LB Clay Matthews, groin, limited
  • WR Jarrett Boykin, groin, did not participate
  • LB Brad Jones, quadriceps, limited

Beginning to look like the nicks and bruises are adding up. This is where the depth is tested and built.

Josh Boyd looked like he was out cold. Surprised it was only a knee injury.

WIth Boyd likely out, they're running short on D-Linemen. Luckily, the Vikes don't have Peterson, but they're still going to pound the run.
